Nightcrawler discovers the shreds littering the floor are from a revolutionary newspaper. Rogue discovers tracks of a jeep lead up to the cavern and away again. Then with Ariel's assistance, they put together that the trash and the tracks were left after the bomb was set up.
Magneto's scent trail indicates that he went to the back of the cave before walking outside and disappearing into thin air. Since the scent trail only leads to open sky, Wolverine investigates the trash at the back of the cave where Magneto spent the most time. There he finds a map of Australia's East Coast. Someone has drawn a skull and crossbones over Sydney, the capital city!

"Way I see it, it ain't Magneto, Nigh' crawler." Rogue explains. "Looks ta me Magneto planted the bomb and someone else dismantled it and took it to Sydney by jeep. Jus' the core is missin' so...they migh' jus' be tryin' ta blow it up the ol' fashion way. Look that way ta you Ariel?" Rogue adjusts her gloves and cracks her knuckles.

Wolverine nodded. The Southern Belle's right. Magnetos got no reason to target Sydney. This is somethin' else. We better get movin, fast.
He turned to walk back out to the jet (we did bring the jet, right?)

Kitty slightly frowns then nods 'Yeah as it the only thing I can think the ammount be used for" She says slighlty horrified that some would just blow up innocent people. and follows the others abck to the jet.

Nightcrawler does a quick facepalm. Of course! How could I be so stupid! He immediately felt a tinge of fear, as though this is something better left to a real leader (like Storm or Cyclops.) Could he really hope to fill in...?

Once in the air over the city, the Blackbird's detection gear easily locates the stolen material. The trail leads to a large mall that has been turned into a battle zone. The Australian army has the area cordoned off and ringed with heavy tanks and guns. On the roof stands Magneto, cradling a metal object in his arms. Nightcrawler's Health: 2/3

Kitty rushes to the scene fast as she can by slipping thru the floor of the black bird as it passes by. As she floats to the ground she moves toward Magneto. 'What going on here? She asks as she lands.

Turning to Ariel, Magneto explains (in haughty terms) that he is tracking down the breeder bombs himself. He claims the core to this one was stolen by foolish humans, who he defeated. Hearing Logan's request, Nightcrawler can't help but want to oblige. He nods as he notes to Magneto, "I will not be party to that any less than I would to a human massacre." BAMF!

Wolverine had never been one to think too much before he acted. Over the years, he'd relied on 'Ro or Slim to do the thinking, even if he seemed to be working against them at times.
But this? Magneto with a bomb in his hands? How could he be misreading this situation? If Kurt got him close enough, he was disarming Magneto, and the guy would be lucky if he didn't do worse...

Rogue knew there wasn't a thing she could do against Magneto unless she saw an opening. Until then... "Give it up Mags. This bomb thang hasn't exactly gone to plan has it? We already gone and took care of the otha' ones an' now all you have left is that core." Rogue figured a little white lie couldn't hurt the situation. "Your gunna have ta start from scratch. Where's the fun in that?"
Action #1: 3 stones into Social skills (Prof. Criminal) to Disgust Magneto into giving up on 'this' plan. At the very least distract him from her teamates.
Action #2: 2 stones shifted to defense.
