This is my attempt to make alternate transformation rule.. Usually if you wanted someone with just a more buff version of his weak form (colosus for example) where the weak form almost would cost half of what the strong form.. So you would need allot of stones to a make a cool version of this character type, but then be incredible weak compared to the other players characters.. The weak form is very rarely used and has usually no defense or advantages to it.. Looking human is a good advantage but shouldent cost you half you're stones to be able to seem human.. it would be cheaper to get Shape shifting with some disadvantages and turn it into a modifier and you would still be able to use you're powers..
So, I based this power on the Sidekick/Companion modifier I placed in the House Rule Guide..
TRANSFORM SELF
Costlevel = Modifier Number +2
DESCRIPTION
You are able to change into a different form which is much more powerful than you're normal form.. This form could be a hulking powerhouse, scaled reptile, giant wolf or anything you really can come up with..
Firstly, you start by buying this modifier.. Each level of it will give you 2w stones to spend on you're weakest form and buy all the Abilities, Actions and modifiers.. The number of stones you can spend on this form shouldent be greater than 12w for normal 40 stone characters (at GM's discretion).. Usually, the weakest form will have very low abilities and actions and no modifiers at all
OPTIONS
• Extra Form (+1 to costlevel per form): You are able to take on one additional form.. Instead of 2w per MN, it becomes 4w which can be split up between the weakest form and the new form.. These forms however shouldent exceed the 12w stone maximum, but this is completly up to GM's discretion.. If you have even more forms, the number becomes 5w per MN# instead..
• Fast Transformation (+1w): Transforming takes less than a panel, but you will still first be able to "act" in the next panel
• Instant Transformation (+4w): Transforming takes no time at all and you can use all you're powers the same panel you transform
• Painful Transformation (-1w): The transformation is rather painful and leaves the character unable to do anything while the transformation is doing its work.. Even with the above options, the character will be to stunned to perform any greater tasks..
COMMENTS
One of the cooler powers there is, however, in my eyes its badly balanced/priced/written in the original game.. So this is an attempt to try and balance it out..
Gaining extra stones in this way might seem cheap, but these extra stones will only be avaible to you when you are in a weakened state and it will take a panel to gain the real bonus's
RULES FOR MODIFIER BOX
• MN# = 2w to spend on you're weak form
• Transforming takes a panel
So, any comments? constructive critism? Angry outbursts? Flying monkies? Silly text?
