The three X-Men creep down the long corridor until Wolverine's animal senses pick up odors from up ahead, like no man, mutant or beast Logan has ever encountered before!

Ariel and Storm catch up to Lockheed, but soon discover that the dragon did not stop merely to obey his pet human's wishes. Eighty yards ahead, the hallway is defended by three creatures. One is a large humanoid with blue, pebble-marked skin, carrying a club. The other two are small humanoids. The first has wings and claws. The second has large eyes. Eyes that see the X-Women! [And their little dragon too. But not Nightcrawler because he is lagging 40 feet behind the others.]

Emerging from the shadows so that he wouldn't startle his teammates when he spoke, Wolverine jabbed a thumb back the way they were going. Somethin's down there. Never smelled anything like it... think Magneto left a present for us?

Piotr shrugs, I don't know, torvaricsh. Maybe you should scout ahead? Rogue and I will follow, carefully. Do you smell Magneto?

Ariel takes a few steps back and motions slowly for Lockheed to come over, "I not sure I can Ororo, but I could try." Kitty says as she looks over her shoulder for Nightcralwer as she takes a hold of Storm wrist 'Hope this works."

Wolverine can confirm that they are still following Magneto's trail, but the new scents are stronger... closer.

BEEEAAAMMM!
Energy rays fire through the small wingless humanoid's remarkable eyes. Eyes which become even larger when the shooter sees the shots also went through Ariel... without effect!
The flyer speeds toward Lockheed, but is met by the dragon's flame breath before it can scratch Kitty's pet with it's sharp claws.
Finally, the giant bounds down the hallway, swinging it's club at Storm. But it can't hit the phased windrider.
So far, none of the guards appear to have spotted Nightcrawler. but he definately sees them.

Happy to play the damsel in distress or in this case just plain bait, Rogue nods to her teammates and continues to walk down the center of the tunnel so her companions can do their thing without being discovered.

The giant falls hard. The flyer and shooter try to stop Ororo, Kitty and Lockheed, but their attacks simply pass through their phased forms.

Rogue, Colossus and Wolverine continue walking down the center of the tunnel, until they find the presents that Magneto left for them. Three strange humanoids lie unconscious in the hallway. One giant with blue, pebble-marked skin and two smaller humanoids, one with wings and one without.
