(OOC: I'm assuming I should repost).
Betrand smiles inside. This appears to be having the desired effect.
Insane? Well, no that's not what it is clinically, he said, zooming between the spires of the nearest tall buildings. Actually, the doctors don't know what to call it. But we're hopeful the latest regime of medicines and counseling will help...Oops! Sorry. My grip isn't what is used to be.

Tallis gasps slightly as Bertrand loosens his grip. Upon controlling his grab on the professor, Bertrand realizes that the man has suddenly taken on quite a bit of weight. So much weight, in fact, that he begins to plummet toward the ground and, at this speed, a collision would be quite painful.

Red Wolf watches in horror. He doesn't know what to do. He awaits the outcome of the stunt before he reacts, prepared to come to their aid.

Argh! Betrand grimaces. What the heck?
This was not he had in mind, to be sure. Still, I wonder if we got our man here?
He contemplates what to do next and settles for compromise.
Hey, um, look - if you're somehow making yourslf heavier that's fine. But you get much more heavy, and I'll be forced to drop you like a stone. What say we compromise? Let's both lighten up, and I'll land and talk about it..

"Lighten up? You want me to lighten up?" Just before the two skid on the ground, Bertrand feels the body he's carrying get lighter... and lighter... and lighter until the two of them are now soaring higher and higher into the sky. "Although I'm not sure how much safer it is up here than it is down there."
At that moment, a jet is visible some distance away, coming toward the two of them as they continue soaring through the sky.

Feeling helpless Red Wolf watches in horror. He points at the jet, making sure Supersonic could see it. What else could he do?

Alright, then Bertrand thought. He wants to play this way, lets' do it.
Realizing he was in the cross hairs of his real-life namesake, Barrier went to work.
I think it's time to get serious there, lightweight! he yelled, then he fired up the afterburners.

Supersonic redirects his flight and drags the the professor to the ground. Tallis looks roughed, but generally in good health despite the force of their landing. He has a thin grin across his face as he points toward his chin, taunting Supersonic ever so slightly.
From where he stands, Red Wolf sees the two plummet to the ground, uncertain of where or why they fell. The direction in which they fell, however, is very clear to him.

OOC: So, is this the guy we wanted? I thought this was some other dude Red Wolf sniffed out. I assume there's probably a connection between him and our quarry, but I'm not sure what the intent is here.

Excellent. Now maybe we can get to the bottom of this. Betrand gives the professor a hard glare.
Alright, mack. You asked for it. And he hauls off with an uppercut right to the spot the prof pointed.

Red Wolf makes his way to the scene fairly quickly, arriving just in time to see Bertrand and Tallis engage one another. Pointing to his chin, Red Wolf sees the taunt and response.
Using his speed and strength to aid him, Bertrand lays a few solid hits onto Tallis, sending him reeling into the air. As his fist connects, however, the hardness of Tallis's skin is evident and left Bertrand's hand just a bit sore. Tallis lands with a thud and stands up, brushing himself off and wiping away some blood from his mouth.
"So, now this gets violent, I see!"

"Um, almost..." Gravity Girl is too busy consulting the sensor to notice anything else and barely seems interested even in flying.
