Gandalf looked at the others. Some looked similar to what he was used to, others....not so much. Like the duck. Or the woman...ok, most are strange. "I am Gandalf the White, of the Valar, Wizard of Middle Earth, at your service." He says, bowing as he says it. This Strange was obviously very powerful, and to be respected.

"Middle Earth... I've heard about that universe." Strange says. "A few years ago I was assisted in a case by the spirit of a Dwarf named Gloin. He had a lot to tell me about that world."
(OOC: I used Gloin because he's currently the only character from the Hobbit I can remember.)

"Ah, Gloin, yes, an old friend of mine. What all did you tell you about my world?"

"Mostly about the geography, and the culture of the Dwarves, he also boasted highly of his son Gimmli, and his actions during the war against the being you call Sauron." Strange explained.

"Ah, yes, the War of the Ring. Gloin should be proud of Gimli and his part in that. I to was involved in that conflict, in fact it was that war that indirectly led to me taking on this current form." Gandalf said, gesturing at his white robe.

Now Strange can't help but give an inquizitive look, as does the demon-like creature. "You changed form..? He asks in a civilised yet somewhat raspy voice. "How so?"

"Well, you see, I was originally known as Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf Stormcrow, and The Wandering Wizard. Several years ago, the One Ring, the source of Sauron's power was discovered. We, me, the ring bearer, Frodo Baggins, Gimli, and 6 others, set out to destroy it once and for all. We planned to travel over the Pass of Caracas, but snowstorms prevented us from doing so. We instead passed through the Mines of Moria, where we found... a charnel house. The dwarves there had been slaughtered by the goblins that bred in the mountain crevaces. And their new master. A Balrog of Morgoth. We fled through his approach, and reached the Bridge of Kazad hum. But the Balrog followed us. Once my friends were across the bridge, I faced the creature. I said, 'I am wielder of the mystic arts, wielder of the Flames of Arnor. Dark fire will not avail you! YOU CANNOT PASS! YOU WILL NOT PASS!' With that, I smote the bridge. It collapsed, sending the Balrog into the pit. But, with a crack of his flaming whip, he pulled me in with it. Through fire and water we fell, and in the end, I defeated my foe. But, I payed a heavy price. I fell upon the mountain that day. But, as the fields of death approached, I felt myself returned to my body, transformed to this current form, to complete my task upon the Earth. The destruction of Sauron. And, in the end, I saw both Sauromon the traitor and Sauron the Dark Lord fall." Gandalf says, finishing his story.

The other members all watch and listen with amazment to your story. Strange then clears his throat.
"Allow me to introduce you to the other members. You've met Nighthawk... Arround you are Valkerie, Hellcat, Son of Satan, Gargoyle, Devil Slayer, Cloud, and Howard the Duck. We are a loose knit group Gandalf... We tend to come and go as we please, no official membership, our numbers and composition are in a constant state of flux."

Gandalf nods to the others. Strange as they are, they must be powerful to be part of this group. Upon hearing the group was rather informal, he turns to Strange. "Well, if that's the case, would you have room for one more?" He asks, eyebrows raised.

Strange smiles. "Certainly, I could always enjoy the company, and socialization with a fellow mystic, and you certainly proved yourself capable of handling yourself with Madcap earlier today. Welcome aboard Gandalf." Strange says.

"Thank you. I am honored to join you." He said, bowing. Straightening up, he asked, "Is there anything that must be dealt with at this time?"

"Not really." Strange says. "We were planning to go investigate some strange deaths in Fouke Arkansaws this evening though."

"People who go out into or near the woods seem to be getting killed. Official reports claim it was done by a bear, but eyewitness testimony, and local foolklore suggest otherwise... Tell me, in your world, do there happen to be large man-like creatures who are covered in fur living in the wilderness?" Strange asks.

Gandalf frowned, and said, slowly, "....Yes, there were such men. Men who could change into beasts, or summon beasts to their call. I knew one such man, Beorn he was called. But.... actual man beasts? None that I ever saw in my time. Rumors existed of course, but I paid them little hede."
