"Well in this world, there are many reported sighting of large apes who walk like men. All over the world, but among the sightings of the creature being it's most agressive towards men, are in the woodlands of Fouke Arkansaws. I believe it's possible that these creature do in fact exist, and are our culprits here." Strange explains.

"Or, he could be a shape shifter of some sort. In either case, whatever it is should be dealt with as soon as possible."

"Of course... I shall begin drawing up a teleportation spell right now... We should be ready to leave within the hour. All of you prepare."
(OOC: I know under normal games rules Strange doesn't need that much time, but this is an oportunity to sociallize with your teammates.)

Gandalf nodded, and looked around the room at the others. They all seemed interesting. Others might think them strange, but Gandalf had always traveled with an odd group. He moved around a little, before stopping next to the blonde woman. "You are Valkeryie, correct?"

"That is correct. I am the Asgardian Valkyrie... I lead the souls of the desceased to Valhala." She says.
(OOC: I'm sure I got something wrong there, but I'm too lazy to fact check it right now.)

OOC: Actually, that's pretty much it.
"Valhalla? What exactly is that?" Gandalf asks, intrigued.

"It is the afterlife for what is known in this world as the Norse religion. Only those who die valiently in battle can go there, and my job is to guide them." Valkyrie says. "Although I have had much less work to do in the last thousand years due to a lack of believers."

"I face something similar in my world. The magic has long been fading, and with the destruction of the One Ring, the magic will fade entirely. It has been several years since Middle Earth has required a wizard. Although I'm curious as to how people do not believe in these Norse Gods if they have represenetives of those very gods defending them."

"We decided not to persue worship many years ago, and we fell out in favor of Christianity." Valkyrie explained.

"Ah, I see. A change of faiths, and a loss of belief in the old gods. That makes sense. How many of your kind take an interest in this world? I have been here for a few weeks now, but don't recall seeing anyone similar to you around."

"Only a select few... There's our Leader Odin's son Thor... He spends a lot of time here, then there is Odin's adopted son Loki who is Thor's archenemy and the god of Evil, and finally there's Amora the Enchantress, a sorceress bent on taking Thor's heart by any means nessessary." Valkryrie explains. "Other than that, we prefer to stay in our own special realm called Asgard, although Thor has asked some of our warriors to aid Earth's heroes should he find himself unable to."

"Sounds familiar." Gandalf said, thinking about several beings from his world that were the same way. Looking Valkeryie over, he noticed her sword. "An elegant blade. Does it have a name?"

"Yes... This is Dragonfang, forged from the Asgardian metal Uru, it is practically indestructable." Valkryie says. "Far stronger then most of the metals found here on Midgard."
"Hey I heard that." Devil Slayer says. "Steel may not be the strongest metal on Earth, but it will still hurt an Asgardian in my hands... Especially when driven through an eye." With that he reaches into his cloak and out of nowhere seemingly produces two short swords.

"Also elegant, but neither is quite as elegant as this." He said, drawing his sword. "This is Glamdring, the Foe Hammer. Forged during during the goblin wars, it has served me well the past decades."

Both Valkyrie and Devil Slayer give impressed looks at your blade.
"Whaag! Hey didn't your mother's teach you guys not to whip out your toys there in the house?" Howard quacks out jokingly.
