The Zoo Team Challenge
The Challenge is simple. Make a team of heroes that fit thematically every animal in the animal kingdom. Everything from Aardvarks to Zebras.
Now, do I really mean everything? No, just the major categories. But I would like as many individual species as possible.
Rules 1) 40+10 Stones 2) The powers must fit thematically with the animal you've chosen. For example, a character based around a bee shouldn't be shooting lighting. 3) The character has to make sense. It doesn't have to be serious, but I'd like at least an attempt to justify the powers, if at all possible. 4) No getting bitten by radioactive animals. I'm not sure why, but I think it's been done before.

....How about a turtle exposed to radiation, and gains powers along with it?
Somehow, I've heard THAT one to. In any event, let's start with an easy one.
Ant Queen Dana Thompson Height: 5'3 Weight: 95 Hair: Black Eyes: Hazel Species: Mutatgenic
Abilities Intelligence: 3 Strength: 6 Agility: 3 Speed: 3 Durability: 4 Health: 4 Energy: 12 Energy Regen: 5
Actions Close Combat: 3 Strength Bonus of Weapon Modifier Hand to Hand Combat Self Defense
Ranged Combat: 2 Thrown Things
Social Skills: 5 Etiquette Seduction Manipulating Lying
Summon/Control Ants: 5
Pheromones: 3
Modifiers Toughness(No X2 Damage): 3 Wealth: 6 Animal Senses: 3 Deep Reserves: 1
Challenges Arrogance: 3w. Dana believes he's beautiful, and better than most. Her recent powers have not dampened that feeling in the least. Manipulation: 2w. Dana will manipulate anyone around her for her benefit. After dealing with her, people aren't eager to trust her again. Can't Swim: 2w. Because her skin has hardened so much, she's much denser than water. She just sinks. Looks Nonhuman: 1w. Her eyes are compound, but it's hard to notice unless you look close. It's why she likes sun glasses.
Bio Born rich, and beautiful, Dana was living the good life, getting whatever she wanted whenever she wanted. Then, one day, her doctor gave her what she thought was a vitamin injection. Well..it wasn't. It was a shot of a special chemical, derived from ants, that gave it's user extreme powers. What you get for hiring the crazy to be your medical advisors, I suppose. She was granted the powers of an ant queen, the power to summon more ants to her call, and to manipulate her fellow man using powerful pheromones. Not to mention incredible strength and a tough skin like an ant.
Somehow, becoming an ant has just made her more driven and obsessed with power.

Actions
Close Combat: 2 Strength Bonus or Weapon Modifier Tusks Massive Strength
Unstoppable: 4
Magical Healing: 4
General Knowledge: 4 Intelligence Bonus Biology Occult Chemistry World Cultures

Bio Born into a scientist family, Dr. Tusk has always loved learning, and always threw himself into both the science, and eventually the occult. Using magic from Africa, he accidently turned himself into an elephant man. His power has more than doubled, but....well, it kind of screws with your social life.

I'm going to make some for this, but let's also cut out Mutants as a power source, too. I'll be doing a jellyfish soon.

WHAT?! I'm out then. I got nothing without Mutants as a power source.

It's just such a laaaaame cop-out when the challenge is all about being creative with different types of power sets!
Oh, and before I continue, do they have to be heroes?

Gotta agree with Rob on this. Mutant just makes it to simple.
It's not supposed to be easy, that's why it's a challenge.
Jellyfish! Cool!
Not specifically no, villains or anti heroes could work to.

----------
Known only as The Jellyfish, this mysterious burglar is rumored to have been a nobody until he stumbled upon some fabulous equipment during a heist. Since then, he's formed a small gang of criminals that are notorious for breaking into the highest security museums and banks, amassing a small fortune in artifacts and cash. Generally looked down upon by other villains who find his straight-forward burglary as a brutish way to criminalize, The Jellyfish has a deserved reputation as one of the nation's most effective burglars.
