My favorite Shakespearian character is Macbeth. That may be at least partly because I love Gargoyles and the play he was in was the only Shakespeare play I liked.
(Incidentally, Xanatos is my favorite Gargoyles character) Izumi Curtis is my favorite FMA character. There’s just something great about the fact that one of the biggest badasses in a story about a giant government conspiracy is a housewife/teacher.
I never really got into DBZ (though Gohan’s superhero phase was fun). Dragon Ball (without the Z) was pretty good but I don’t think any of the characters are developed enough to be a “favorite” (except for maybe Master Roshi … and he’s too much of a creepy old man).
Buffy is an interesting series in that a lot of the supporting characters are contenders for favorite but I hated the main character by the end of the series. I suppose Giles (“She’s a hero. She’s not like us”) is my favorite but that could change if you ask me tomorrow.
Mrs Westen (Michael’s mom) is probably the most interesting on Burn Notice but Sam and Mike (especially when he’s “playing a character”) are the most fun to watch.
Cowboy Bebop revolves around Spike (as it should).
Wait, what were we talking about?

David is way smarter than Lex. By the end of the series he had the heroes (and Puck) working for him, a hot wife, and ALL HIS HAIR. The best Lex managed was to be President for part of a term.

I want to go back through my DVD collection some day and re watch the series. Mrs Westen (Michael’s mom) is probably the most interesting on Burn Notice but Sam and Mike (especially when he’s “playing a character”) are the most fun to watch. Just like Buffy, Burn Notice has a good cast. I do enjoy Mike's characters in the show though. The guy's a hell of an actor. David is way smarter than Lex. Just like Buffy, Burn Notice has a good cast. I do enjoy Mike's characters in the show though. The guy's a hell of an actor. Funny you say that, my main complaint with Burn Notice is Jeffrey Donovan's acting. He just isn't as good as his character is supposed to be, and the show demands he play a different role nearly every episode. It's a tall order for any actor, and the guy who plays Michael Westen doesn't fill it convincingly. Watching him try to cry or be sad will make YOU want to cry. The other big complaint would be how often he tells people to go ahead and shoot him and nobody does. I don't dislike the character or the actor (despite his shortcomings), but the fact that no one has shot him when he's invited them to makes you take every other character less seriously. It even hurt Larry, because Larry was the only recurring villain and as such he should have shot Mike at least once. Eventually even his "Jolly Monster" routine lost its potency because he wouldn't go ahead and shoot Mike. I DO love the Jolly Monster bit though, the actor (Tim Matheson I think) has a real natural smile that makes you want to smile with him, and he usually uses it when he's talking about killing people.

I enjoy the different characters Mike plays in the show. It's pretty funny sometimes.

He reminds me of Herbert the pervert off of family guy. I don’t remember Herbert being a badass martial artist who trained two of the world’s greatest fighters (Krillin may have been a joke compared to all the aliens and robots but he’s still the most powerful HUMAN) and anonymously joined a tournament just so his star pupil wouldn’t get a big head. Still, you’d think Bulma’s super-rich family could afford to have that perv arrested. Then again, maybe he lives on that island because it’s the minimum distance he’s allowed to be from schools. I actually think Burn Notice has more in common with Dollhouse than Buffy. They’re both shows where the actors get to stretch and play a different character each episode. Of course I think Burn Notice succeeds where Dollhouse failed because I actually CARE about the people on Burn Notice whereas the ones in Dollhouse were mostly literal blank slates (or evil or both).

I actually watch Burn notice every chance I get, but I never stayed awake through an entire episode of dollhouse. There is the pssibility that some of that was due to me working Friday-Sunday 12 hour shifts when the show was airing though, but I could have watched the show online if I really wanted too. There's something about manual labor for 12 hours in a hot factory, and getting home eating and taking a shower that knocks me the f*ck out. I liked the cast, and characters on Buffy allot better than dollhouse. The last best thing that Joss has put out was Dr. Horribles Sing Along Blog.
