I've temporarily lost my rule books for now, and don't know when ill get them back. Can someone help me by telling me how Alchemy works in the game? Along with the advantage/disadvantages and costs.
Thanks!

Alchemy, hmmm That's not in the books. The three I can think of is Mastery of Magic, Sorcery, Voodoo, and Asgardian Magic.
I think it would probably work like Mastery of Magic, I'm not sure though. As a Full Metal Alchemist fan I think allot of it might go under the Mastery of Magic rules, but I'm not sure what kind of Alchemy you're wanting.

Same as you're thinking, Full Metal type of alchemy. Or at least something like that.

I figure there are a couple of different ways to do it.
If you want to go the classic alchemy route for guys like the F4’s Diablo then just make it a support action for Mastery of Magic like Voodoo, Sorcery, ect. Maybe give the player the option to build Alchemy on General Knowledge [Chemistry, Arcane, Alchemy, or similar] instead of Mastery of Magic for the more “scientific” alchemists like the Flash’s Doctor Alchemy. This approach also works on 90% of FMA alchemists.
If you want to go the Roy Mustang route then just give him a Mastery of Element or similar action that simulates whatever the alchemist’s specialty is.

I wasn't thinking roy mustang, I know that'd be mastery of element. (and he was my fav. Character in the series.)
I was thinking more ofover the regular Edward type alchemy.

Hmmm, Ed's would be hard to do. I would use "Alchemy" as AN+2 and then maybe give it the disadvantages that you're needing the materials as part of the specification of the power. It would also take time to prepare (drawing your circle). Despite the fact that Ed could clap his hands and use alchemy he also draw circles quite a bit. The instant alchemy is instant, so it might be an advantage, or it could possibly be another action all together. You know, how you have to know mastery of magic before you can use sorcery, you would need to know alchemy before you could use the instant transmutation. I'm not sure about the rules on how long it takes to "charge" for sorcery, or if it is instant though. If I were to build an alchemy action number that's where I'd start though. Also, keep in mind that the AN for sorcery is limited to 2x the number of mastery of magic. Ed's set up may look something like this Alchemy: 4 -AN+2 cost levels -takes time to prepare -must have materials in order to use. Instant Transmutation -AN+2 cost levels -needs material -must be able to clap hands (or something) -Action Number is limited to twice the action number of Alchemy -must take a heavy physical disadvantage in order to use. I wasn't thinking roy mustang, I know that'd be mastery of element. (and he was my fav. Character in the series.) I was thinking more ofover the regular Edward type alchemy. *Spoilers* Mustang learned how to instantly transmute things like Edward Elric in the last episodes of Full Metal Alchemist brotherhood. *End Spoilers*

lol, depends on what you mean by "original." The Magna series was made first, then it was made into a cartoon (the first Fullmetal Alchemist cartoon), and then Brotherhood was made to be more like the Magna comics.
There were things I liked about both series though. It was really a shame that they had to "revamp" the series rather than continue on with the FMA storyline. There's still allot of potential with the show.
The first cartoon series had a few major points I like better than brotherhood. Mainly the "humor" was toned down. In brotherhood it was annoying.
I think they should make another series at some point, and pick up where Brotherhood series left off. Mainly, bring back Hohenheim's lover, Dante, from the first cartoon series, make Ed and Al's mom Trisha come back as a humunculus, and ed and al's Izumi teachers son. You know, some how work part of the storyline from the first series into the brotherhood series. There's still plenty of room for the series to grow.
You know, like the massive underground city, London behind beyond the gate, and everything else. It may not merit a whole new series, but a short animated movie tying the two series together would be entertaining.
There are a couple of reasons why bringing back the dead as humunculi would be hard though. In Brotherhood it states that what they brought back weren't actually the intended people were never brought back, in the first cartoon series the remains of the deceased were their weakness. Dante would still be a character I would like to see if they ever plan on making another Full Metal cartoon, and are working off of the Brotherhood storyline. She was a good antagonist in the first cartoon, and I'd like to tie the two storylines together. It might just be my preference though.

Yeah, I meant the first anime as the "original" And yeah brotherhood went off the manga, which in my opinion is always better

Except for the annoying style of humor, I agree. I'd still like to see aspects of the first Full Metal cartoon incorporated into a short film expanding the Brotherhood storyline though.

I did up a passable Edward Elric CAD in Super Champions. He should still be there if Dullahan didn't erase him. He had Mastery of Metal... then he learned how to transmute Adamantium. God was Mephisto surprised by that.
