Advantages
+1 CL = +1 Damage. Add +1 to any damage done with the associated Action.
+2 CL = x2 Damage.
+4 CL = x2 Damage or Area of Effect.
+4 CL = x3 Damage.
+5 CL = Ability Bonus. Add a single Ability Bonus to the associated Action.
+2 CL or +4 CL = Allies Benefit from Power. For +2 CL you can extend the benefit of your power to include allies you touch by spending 1 red stone per ally. For +4 CL you can share your power with allies you touch for free.
+3 CL = Area of Effect. You have the option of making the associated Action affect everyone within a certain radius of yourself; see the Area row of the Difficulty and Resistance chart. An Area of 1 or 2 is free; pay 1 stone per additional step in range.
+6 CL = Attack vs Ability. Choose an Ability when selecting this Advantage. Compare your stones of Attack vs your opponent's Ability instead of defensive stones to determine damage.
+1 CL = Burst. Actions only. When you split stones of attack between multiple targets, gain a free +1 stone of attack from the General Pool per target.
+1 CL = Combines With Action. Stones in this Action or Modifier combine with one other Action of your choice, but not the other way around.
Example: If you bought Ranged Combat with a +1 CL Advantage "Combines with Force Blast, you could combine stones of Ranged Combat with your Force Blast to create a stronger Force Blast attack; however, you wouldn't be able to combine the same two Actions to create a stronger Ranged Combat attack (unless you also bought "Combines with Ranged Combat" for your Force Blast).
+1 CL = Efficient Actions only. For every 2 stones placed in the associated Action Box, gain 1 free stone from the General Pool. These free stones do not allow you to exceed your Action Number.
+3 CL = Free Action. Applies to Actions only. Using this Action does not count against your normal limit of 2 actions per panel. You may only use one Free Action per Page.
Example: Hellion buys Flight as a Free Action. Later, in combat with Predator X, Hellion uses his first Action to use Telekinesis, his second action to put up a Force Field. Because it is a Free Action, Hellion can put 1 stone into Flight in order to soar into the air, even though he's already used 2 actions this panel.[/i]
+1 CL = Material Class. Most mundane substances such as wood, stone, steel, lead, brick and even the human body are considered to be of Material Class 1. For the price of one cost level (plus an additional number of white stones) your Action or Modifier gains the benefit of a higher Material Class:
Material Class 2 (1 white) may include "real-world" specialized materials such as titanium alloys, osmium, or the flesh of some superhumans such as Luke Cage or Ms. Marvel.
Material Class 3 (3 white) includes some specialized materials that only exist in comic books, such as Colossus' "organic steel" body, and the flesh of some particularly durable superhumans, such as Thor.
Material Class 4 (5 white) is limited to the most durable and penetrating substances in the comic book world, such as vibranium and adamantium.
A weapon or an attack such as a Force Blast ignores the hardness, armor or toughness of lesser material classes.
Example: Wolverine's adamantium claws (Material Class 4) can ignore Thor's Toughness (Material Class 3); however, Wolverine is at no such advantage against Ultron (who's adamantium body is also Material Class 4). Wolverine would have paid +1 CL to his Claws modifier, plus an additional 5 white stones for this considerable advantage.
+6 CL = Permanent Action. Counts as both a Free Action and an Unlimited Power.
+X CL = +X Range. For each additional Cost Level you can increase the effective Range of an Action by 1.
+1 CL = Stun Option. You can opt to have your attack cause Stun damage instead of regular damage. Stun damage drains red stones of energy from the target's Energy Pool instead of eliminating white stones of Health.
+4 CL = Unlimited Power. Applies to Actions only. All stones placed in this Action come from the general pool, up to the limit of it's AN.
+3 CL = Weapon Modifier. You can use a weapon in conjunction with the associated Action.
