It is currently calm in the Big Apple. The unnatural kind of calm that appears before a storm. It is currently late afternoon and an ambulance races to the nearest hospital carrying a special victim. For it is Luke Cage, a man who has near unbreakable skin, being held in the ambulance. And he looks as though he was run over by several trains and is currently in a coma. And he is only the start. Soon, all of New York will be getting a wake up call. And nothing will be the same.
Hawkeye You were following on a lead about a new supervillain team was about to form. Problem, you eventually learner that the lead was false. Now you are on the rooftops, not sure what to do. You blissfully unaware that Luke is in the hospital, and of the chaos that will fall upon you soon.
Wolverine Things are currently slow at the X-Mansion. You are sadly stuck on babysitting duty while the others are off doing various things. You probably wouldn't mind some kind of action to happen soon. Unfortunately, you will soon be getting that wish in the worst way possible. Whether you want it or not.
Spider-Man You are about to begin your nightly patrol, but stop. Something isn't right. Fortunately or not, it isn't your spider-senses. It is just some weird dreamlike flashbacks you have been having lately. The flashbacks relates to some mission that you don't ever remember being apart of. Strange thing was, Wolverine, Hawkeye, and Luke Cage also seemed to be part of this mission. It is probably nothing, but it is unsettling that you are having them anyway. Probably shouldn't let this stop your patrol anyway. Of course, you had no idea how important those flashbacks are.
OOC: Explain a bit about what you are doing in you current location. You are all currently alone. And none of you are aware about Luke being in the hospital.

Logan while upset about being stuck babysitting took it in stride. Not only was he not being put in a life and death situation facing any of the numerous people that wanted him dead or captured, but he also didn't have to deal with the likes of other X-men he didn't care fore namely Cyclops.
Logan made his way into the kitchen grabbing a beer and soon went to the security room resigning to simply sit and watch the monitors. Having a gut instinct that something might happen he stopped by his room grabbing his uniform and slipping it on. He finally sat down putting his feet up on the counter and taking a drink of his beer he began monitoring the mansion and the grounds.

Spider-Man was hanging upside down over Times Square. He'd initially stopped to see if a pickpocket he'd busted a few times was back in action, but the flashbacks had brought him to a dead halt, and now he merely hung, trying to ferret out the source of these odd dreams in his memory. He'd been at this hero thing for a while now, too long to believe in coincidences.

Inexplicably, Hawkeye was not killed off in one of the most hated character death scenes in comics history, blowing up an alien ship in a suicide attack. Instead, Hawkeye has returned to the land of the living, thanks to a little mystical deus ex machina from the Scarlet Witch, who created the alien attack in the first place. Rather than immediately tell his loved ones that he is in fact alive, Hawkeye decides to following on a lead about a new supervillain team that was about to form first. However, he eventually learned the lead was false, just like his death. 'I'm not sure what to do,' Hawkeye thinks from his rooftop vantage point. 'Maybe I should go try to find Wanda. There is a slim chance that she might have amnesia and go to bed with me.''Or maybe I should check on this new supervillain team lead one more time by getting a drink at The Bar With No Name.' Hawkeye reluctantly goes to the supervillain bar first. There will be time for revenge sex later.

Wolverine Logan was sitting back with a beer in hand and watching the monitor when it happens. The front door suddenly bursts open as a golden armored figured flew into the mansion. The attacker then began to blast the place, almost hitting some of the young mutants who are too frighten to get away. Bad day for the X-Men to be away. Then again, you can handle this chump. But you will have to end this quickly, otherwise the kids will get hurt.
Spider-Man You were pondering over your weird flashbacks, when your spider senses started tingling. You managed to jump onto a nearby rooftop just as a tentacle almost smashed you. The tentacle was familiar, and so it was natural for you to assume that Doctor Octopus was attacking. But instead of the familiar form of your old foe, it was a girl. "Spider-Man. We meet again." Who is this girl again?
Hawkeye You were about to head to the Bar With No Name, when a coil came close to striking you. When you looked at your attacker, you saw a dude wearing a black and orange costume. "No way. You actually took the bait? Time to die Hawkeye!" It appears you walked into an ambush.
OOC: Since Spider-Man has the highest reflex, he goes first. Okay, here are the scene distinctions and complications.
Wolverine - Scene Distinctions: Wooded Grounds and Mansion. Complications: Mutant Kids (D8) Spider-Man - Scene Distinctions :Long Way Down and Dark Corners. Complications: Building Gaps (D8) Hawkeye - Scene Distinctions: Crowded Streets and Alleyways. Complications: Innocent Bystanders (D10)
Note: Doom Pool is 2D10 and complications affects everyone.

Spider-Man was far from surprised; it seemed like more and more often these days, he was encountering villains who were recycling gimmicks from past enemies. Still, this WAS the first Octopus-light he'd met.
You have GOT to be kidding me? Do the new kids still think they've got a shot at taking me down with the same tired tech, when more experienced guys have failed! Listen, how'sabout you give up now, and go home. You seem like a nice girl, maybe you can meet a nice gastropod and settle down, have a family?
His mouth moved fast, but his web-shooters moved faster. He was working to gunk up her mechanical limbs before she really had a chance to get going.
==OOC== Attempting to create a Grapple complication! Solo [dice=8] Wisecracker [dice=8] Reflexes [dice=10] Weapon [dice=8] Grapple SFX [dice=6] Psych Expert (because he's using his words to distract her) [dice=8]
Holy crap that's two opportunities! Er, anyway... Total: 12. Effect Die steps up to d12, due to Grapple SFX I'm also going to spend a PP to use an additional Effect Die, so that if this Action is successful, she'll take a d8 Emotional Stress from Spidey's mockery.
And I pass the action to Lady Octopus.[rand=9031804806266758955329364658091934001694658898933348338755933469]

Solo: [dice=8] Octavius' Star Pupil: [dice=4] (Because Spidey is insulting her pride of being a student of Octavius since she had replaced him.) Prehensile: [dice=8] Doom Pool: [dice=6] (Spent the one I just gained from using her distinction negatively.)
I will also be taking advantage of both opportunities. Doom Pool is now 2D10 + 2D6. ...stupid one. Okay, her stress is now D8 in the emotional category and she now suffers a complication. --------------------------- Lady Octopus tried her best to move the webbing away with her tentacles, but she just was not fast enough. Also, Spider-Man's words got to her. "Don't talk to me as though you don't me! I fought you after Octavius was killed by Kaine! He is only back now thanks to me and the Hand!" The girl then attempted to remove Spider-Man's webbing off of herself.

The dice pool Lady Octopus has to roll against.
Doom Pool: [dice=6] [dice=10] [dice=10] Stress: [dice=8] Complication: [dice=12]
Lady Octopus came close, but she was not able to break Spider-Man's webbing. But she is still somewhat of a threat since her appendages aren't completely wrapped up.
Pass to Hawkeye.[rand=4982212604954839609430206939578195772706298157572166531782131642]

Hawkeye tries to enrage Constrictor by pretending to not know who he is in front of the Innocent Bystanders. Meanwhile, like a trained matador leading a raging bull, Hawkeye uses his acrobatic expertise to lead Constrictor away from the Crowded Streets and into a less crowded Alleyway. Solo [dice=8] Hotheaded [dice=8] Enhanced Reflexes [dice=8] SFX: Versatile [dice=8][dice=8] Acrobatic Expert [dice=8] Innocent Bystanders [dice=12] Roll of 15 towards inflicting D8 Emotional Stress on Constrictor. OOC: Epic pic is epic. Also, I take advantage of that one and step up the doom pool. So here is a plot point for you. And doom pool is now 2D10 and 1D8.
Constrictor immediatly tried to lash you with his vibranium coils in a vain attempt to harm you. This will possibly knock your game off a bit. Also, the coils could possibly harm innocent bystanders, which might distract your word play a bit.
Solo: [dice=4] (Because he is alone) Underworld Rep: [dice=4] (Because you are insulting his rep.) Electrical Charge: [dice=8] (Because he is trying to harm you with coils which would distract your wordplay.) Doom Dice: [dice=8] Innocent Bystanders: [dice=10] (Because they could get hurt by the random lashing of coils which could distract you.)
OOC: Constrictor is now suffering from D8 emotional stress.
Despite the fact Constrictor was concentrating on harming you, he was definetly affected by your words. "It is Constrictor! Constrictor! You are so dead!" He then chanced after you into the alleyway, although Innocent Bystanders could still get hurt from your fighting. At least the threat of them getting hurt is less.
OOC: Doom Pool is currently 2D10 and 1D6. Wolverine is up.[rand=70954130279994734757776708583462578871511199901709721443197036672]

Wolverine got up quickly from his chair and ran to the entrance foyer of the mansion dropping the now empty beer o the way. When he got to the entrance area he looked around and sniffed. "Alright bub, you picked the wrong mansion to mess with. Lets see how you handle this." He said as he clenched his fists extending his claws.
He then ran and leapt at the golden armored figure extending his hands and therefore his claws with the intent to impale him and knock him to the floor or wall and stop whatever his plans are. ========================= OOC: Not looking to kill him, just knock him out if I can.
Rolling Solo(d10), I'm the Best There is at What I Do(d8), Enhance Strength(d8), Adamantium Claws(d10), Combat Master(d10)
Going to make use of Focus SFX and replace two d8's(Solo and Combat Master) with a d12. Also going to make use of Berserk and borrow the d6 stepping it up to a d8 and add it to my roll...then return it as a d8.
Focus(Solo & Combat Master): [dice=12] I'm the Best There is at What I Do: [dice=8] Enhance Strength: [dice=8] Adamantium Claws: [dice=10] Berserk: [dice=8]
Alright going to spend my starting plot point to add a third die. Total: 18, Effect Die: d10
I guess I'll pass to the golden armored guy.[rand=4473783860448748316479334142059112382137123495349770825174637139]

The man in the Mandorid Armor simply moved behind of some of the mutant kids in an attempt to discourage Wolverine from harming him. He even moved behind some of the furniture in the Mansion to avoid too much damage. Even then, the man expected his armor to be able to deflect the attack enough that he won't get hurt. ------------------ Solo: [dice=6] Mansion: [dice=8] Superhuman Durability: [dice=10] Mutant Kids Complication: [dice=8]
OOC:...uh wow. Guess he is done for the count, no matter what. Web-head can go next. I guess. Seriously, who gets to decide who goes next now? If it is me since it was the Mandroid Armor's turn before he got stressed out, then Spider-Man goes next. If not me, then obviously Sideswipe gets to decide who.[rand=021414143114923845199602122646011139571430714380928068436231251732]

Spider-Man continued his mile-a-minute mockery of the woman, all the while dodging about and keeping up the pressure with his webbing, aiming at her feet, her face, anything he could to make her miserable.
Would it have been such a big deal to come up with an original outfit? What about bears? You don't see a lot of bear themed villains, and bears are scary!
Or maybe a penguin! Now I'm just being ridiculous...
==OOC== Keeping up the pressure to push her emotional stress beyond the limit... Solo [dice=8] Wisecracker [dice=8] Reflexes [dice=10] Weapon [dice=8] Psych Expert [dice=8] Lady Octo's Stress [dice=8] Complication [dice=12]
I'm going to spend a Plot Point to include an additional die in my roll. I'm taking the 7 and the two 6's for a total of 19, and keeping the d12 for an Effect die (in hopes of exceeding her reaction by 5, and stressing her out here and now)
Total: 19, Effect Die: d12
If she's not stressed out, I pass to her[rand=58447771087509286783758803879787891824317786670720182393409721322]

Lady Octopus tries her best to ignore your horrible jokes and to keep all of your webbing off of her.
Solo: [dice=8] Octavius' Star Pupil: [dice=4] Prehensile: [dice=8] -------------------- Lady Octopus was soon completely wrapped up and is thrashing around in anger. She is definetly out of the picture now.
OOC: Who will you pass to now?[rand=4007842398714274603659853339195367213943973183634771286747418344]

"Tell me Constrictor, have you ever been constricted?"
Hawkeye fires a bola arrow to give the Constrictor a CONSTRICTED complication.
Solo [dice=8] World's Greatest Marksman [dice=8] Weapon [dice=10] SFX: Trick Arrows [dice=6] will also step up the effect die by +1. Superhuman Accuracy [dice=10] Combat Master [dice=10] Constrictor's Emotional Stress [dice=8] Innocent Bystanders (They will be in the way if Constrictor tries to dodge.) [dice=10]
I'll spend a plot point to include a third die making the roll 18 with a D12 effect die thanks to the Trick Arrow SFX.
Passing to Constrictor. [rand=7626428427174687784934005001559930104853888042273967431099154055]
