Someone may have brought this up already but it's just come to my mind as I was working on a character.
Is it just me or is Blasting a vastly overpowered power? Just using it as intended it's a lot of stuff. Flight (AN+2), Force Field (AN+2), collision causes 2x damage (basically Close Combat with 2x damage.. AN+2). And the whole thing, that does all of that costs a measly AN+2.
If I want to streach it's usefulness farther consider this. Blasting with the widely accepted Efficient bonus for a total cost of AN+3. I place two stones of energy in the action, efficient turns that up to 3. I'm now generating a force field that will protect me for 6 stones. Then I'll move 2 of the 3 blasting stones to defense for actively dodging bringing my total defensive stones up to 8. The remaining 1 stone in blasting is enough to fly at up to speed 4 or 200 mph on the D&R chart..
To recap, by placing 2 stones of energy into blasting I'm getting 8 stones of defense and hitting a flight speed of 4.
Don't get me wrong, I love the power, the powergamer in me did little hops of joy when i figured that out and even without the abuse potential its just a cool power. The larger part of me that enjoys a fair gameplay experience thinks it's a little insane and wonders if I might have got my head around the rules here wrong. So essentially I'm asking if I've got this right or not?

I found a lot of my players (veteran ones) where abusing blasting every chance they got, so i had to total rework it im afraid where it comes with a lot more weakness then in the book, such as cant split stones for attack and defense, ect witch u can of cores u can remove for + AN. something i still regret but felt had no choice do to all the power gaming i was dealing with. sense then although most those players have left, blasting still has kept it Nerfs. so i did find it easily over used in the right hands but for the most part it well at a cheap cost to all thos wiling not to abuse every glitch they find.
