Is anyone else experiencing trouble posting because every time they load a page, a video ad for Centerpoint Energy plays at the bottom and won't let you scroll away from it? Because I am being plagued by that ad non-stop on my PC.

Not me. AdBlock f is my lord and savior.
Must suck to see that intrusion, though.

Honestly, if I have more than 7 tabs open at once, it starts to screw with my speed. Especially if there are Shockwave ads on the page. But I don't know about any Centerpoint Energy ad. Also, Shame on you Savant, AdBlocking this fine site

It's just on this site or browser-wide? If it's the latter try to scan for malware with some kind of tool (like malwarebytes) or try to switch browsers. Other mentioned alternatives may work too.

Also, Shame on you Savant, AdBlocking this fine site I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one, Dio. I have tried, I really have, to not adblock Proboards, and every time I turn it off for this site, it turns on adds (d'uh), which then keep crashing and causing each of the pages I open to take a really long time for the stupid add to load, realize it won't make it, crash, and finally ask me if I want to close it or keep trying to load it (DEFINITELY not enjoyable). I'm all for encouraging good websites by not adblocking them when I love them (like this here board) and their adds are not a pain in the butt, but when the adds are dozens of friggin' minutes long (like some on Youtube) or make every page I open up take thirty to forty times the usual amount of time it normally takes... ...then I adblock the living hell out of them, without an ounce of regret or remorse. EDIT: I'll disable adblocker for this 'fine site' when it stops pulling crappy adds that keep crashing for no reason and slow down everything I do here. XD

lol. T'was a jest my friend I know, but I wanted to state this opinion, jest or not. I'd happily deactive adblocker for proboards, if proboards' adds weren't such jerks to my use of the board. XD In all honesty, I have nothing against adds as long as they don't go overboard. Ergo... I don't watch TV anymore (there's like over 50% more commercials time than five years ago), and I adblock youtube. ^_^

See? Going against the grain isn't always bad.
I do agree that there's no sensible need for blockers if advertisements become less intrusive, though. If this were a decade ago, I'd not rely on such a thing.

Quick question. Does anyone on this board use Microsoft edge a browser? Because the problem doesn't seem nearly as bad when I switch to Internet explorer.

Personally use Chrome myself. Though Edge seems to be a decent browser, I just have been using Chrome for like ever lol.
