Deciding to walk the path align with electrical lamp, you can hear the slight buzzing in the air. This is definitely imperial technology, not much charm to it, unlike some alien tech Mika had seen before. You walk for a while in the corridor until you reach a door. The what use to be a door is slammed in half, as if something heavy had rammed through it multiple times, living an opening for the both of you to bypass the obviously failing security system.
Whatever did this had incredible strenght and may or may not still be around. A quick look on the other side of the door reveal the entrance to a lab with many tubs align on the walls, draining some kind of liquid from the roots. A trail of destruction seems to lead further down another door that have apparently suffer the same fate has the first one.

"Okay so there WAS a security system, but these guys went all blunt force on it and rammed their way in. Looks like they didn't have a cyberhacker like me, otherwise this would look a lot more cleaner.." She said looking at the rampage around. "Whatever did this might still be around, so...be careful for now." She said going passed the door.
"Looks like we're getting closer to whatever it is we're looking for. I can see these tubs are sucking something, so hopefully beyond that door is what we're looking for. Let's go, Plant." She said trying to be quiet and look into the second door that was also destroyed.

Elise was unsure about Mika's advice. How did one got ready for anything? Elise didn't have an answer for that as she didn't have an answer to what had happened at that place, though it was clear that someone or something brute, unstoppable as nature itself often is, had bluntly cut its way into that place. Mika seemed to hold little respect for the approach, where her character may be... brash perhaps, even if Elise lacked the skills to properly define it, her methods sure were more subtle than whatever had rammed through there. "Plants... planets... ecosystems don't have a central piece to dismantle everything from. All parts of life are important to keep the balance" Elise mentioned, kinda out of nowhere as it was usual on her. "But from the conversations I overheard on the ship, machines aren't like that, they are often... controlled is the word?" she wondered. "From a specific place" Elise finished her loud thinking.
"I wonder if the ship would be the same in case something happened to the captain" she mused. "We would still be ourselves individually... but it wouldn't be the same" Elise added, a hint of sadness in her voice.

As you both get inside the lab, the extent of the destruction is quite clear, the thing that went through here had a specific goal in mind since only the trail leading to the other door showed sign of trampling over. The rest of the lab seems to still be functionning but as you get closer to the second door, you start to hear some low growling and whining.
Mika managed to stay quiet as they got closer to the second door and see whats on the other side. Another lab, but bigger with the same sort of tubes as the previous one but this one has bassins in it, in which various creatures can be seen. At the base of one such glass bassin stand a wounded beast with obvious burnt mark on its body, laying around it are a few scientist and some soldiers who fell under the creature's anger.
The beast itself is trying weakly to reach for the small similar creature enclosed in one of the bassin but is obviously too weak to break it free. Further in stands what seems to be technological equipment, though wether it is the control center you are looking for or not remains to be seen.

Elise was a being attuned to plants, for all her life, all her lives, she has always been a caretaker of those. Turnip or Plant as Mika called her. Her connection wasn't to other living beings, but to plant life and plant life alone where her expertise belonged. As they arrived at a laboratory of some sort, what was endangered there wasn't the flora of the place, but the fauna.
A creature...
Elise had no power to understand, to connect with those. But she also didn't have a power to connect to other people, did she? Day after day since she joined the crew, she had learned how to reach to other people, what it meant for her to be a... person, and not just an eternal caretaker of a finite garden. The universe was bigger than her garden, it's beings infinitely varied, and thus beyond the grasp of her powers, of her gift to connect with just plants and plants alone.
But one didn't need a special gift to see a creature trying to help one of their little ones.
Barely a bulb, just... infant.
"Mika, we have to release the little one, they trapped them horrible and caused their own demise" she stated, unable to comprehend that machinery.

"Uhh...no thanks.." She wanted to back out. "No matter how you look at it, it's a lose-lose situation. Either this thing is a carnivore and will eat the crap outta me, or it's a herbivore and will eat the crap out of you." She calmly stated. "Best case scenario is we watch out for ourselves, ignore this thing, and-.." She said as she looked beyond the technology near the creature.
"Ugh..of course. There's a terminal next to it.." She thought to herself. They should just kill the creature, get it over with and find out what's the best solution to getting the imperial tech out. But, that'd be loud, and they didn't know how powerful this creature was. It clearly has power to it. So now the best thing to do is try to release the baby that this creature clearly wants, and try and get it out of there...
"On second thought, no, you're right, Plant. We should release it to get it back to it's...mother..?" She said to Elise. "I mean..what kinda monsters would we be if we didn't return this monster's little baby.." She said half sarcastically, knowing Elise would take it literally.
Looking around, she'd see what she could use to distract the beast for the time being. Once she found that thing, she'd create a plan. This is where her brain would be able to come in handy at least.

Action 1: Thieving 3 to come up with a plan to "Heist" this beast and get to the terminal. (Specialty: Heist management/planning)
Action 2: PA Tractor beam 2 [As telekinesis] to move any necessary things around if needed. (Depending on the plan)

As the situation unfold before the two of you, you decide to take action into releasing the smaller creature back to its mother. Considering the amount of damages done to the place, this seems like the best decision, since angering it any further might just spell the end for you, maybe.
Looking around Mika can see a pattern around the central console, lines of cables seems to be going from the console to the tub in which the smaller creature is locked in. There is another control pannel near the tub as well which seems like it would release the baby if the giant mother wasn't in the way. But how to create a diversion.
Usually, making noises should be good enough, but would it attract the beast attention long enough? Its worth a try. You get some pieces of destroy equipment and throw them away further inside the room. It create noises as expected and the beast attention is taken, possibly fearing another scientist is there to hurt her baby, she move toward the sound carefully.
Now is your chance to head for the control pannel near the tub or toward the central control.

Since there was no way Elise could push the proper buttons and pull the adequate levers or whatever was going on in there, even if Mika carefully instructed her, she soon ended in the noisemaking part of the plan. Trusting Mika's ideas and following her instructions the best she could, Elise wandered off to lure the adult creature from the area, so Mika could do her tech thing and release the tiny one. Plus if the adult was aggressive, Elise didn't want Mika to get injured. So there she was, being all noisy and hoping for the best.

"Well, here goes nothing.." she whispered to Elise. She tip toed to the controllers to try and find out exactly was going on with these machines. Hopefully it'd be as easy as hitting one button, or a lever. No codes no codes no codes.......
She look through the buttons trying to mentally put together what each may do. Being on a time crunch was definitely not the best situation to be in right now, but they needed to get this giant monster out of the way so they could continue on with their REAL gig...

Action 1: Technology 7 to try and figure out what the hell these buttons do and hopefully press/pull the right one to let the baby go.

The mother is distracted by Elise attemped at being noisy. Luckily for her, the beast is still too weak to be extra aggressive, but her attention has definitely shifted toward the plant girl. It shows its fangs and let out a growl. In itself, that is still pretty terrifying to hear as it make the whole room shake.
Mika manage to reach the control in the middle of the room, and thanks the lords of the universe, it doesn't seems to be any more complicated then it should. Mika can tell this is not the console they are looking for, but can easily figure which buttons to push since they are labeled and somewhat build to ressemble the actual room. There is a round button for every tube in the lab. You push the left end button of the console. A light lit up under the tube and the liquid that was in it start to lower until its empty, then the tub open, finally freeing the little one inside.
It is clearly weak. As soon as it open, the mother's attention shift back toward its baby and it rush to it, letting a sad growl as it pokes it softly, trying to wake it up. The baby doesn't seem to react. The mother then pick it up, like a mother cat would its kittens by the thick of the neck and slowly made its way out, giving warily glances toward the two others, but otherwise just trying to go out.
The beast disapear into the corridor from which you both came from, leaving you in the lab uninjured but probably a bit stressed.
Thats when Elise could feel something reaching out to her, some kind of wavelenght, it felt familiar but distant. She would recognize this feeling whenever she would take care of the trees and plants on her home planet.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elise have now gain a modifier ''+5 connection to the Queen tree'' She can feel the Queen's presence around them and communicate through feelings with her.

Elise was glad they managed to release the little beast without harming the adult or getting injured themselves, but even if she could further worry for the little one's health, soon became distracted by something else. Adult and child went away while Elise accustomed herself to that new and yet so familiar feeling.
"Hello there" she transmitted with the most tender of feelings, while at the same time voiced out loud. "We are here to help, can you feel that in me? Can you feel who I am?" Elise kept transmitting and voicing, trying to reassure the plant.
"Oh, yeah, I'm connected to the Queen Tree now, we're talking" she informed Mika, hoping she wasn't acting too weird with all the talking to herself thing.

"Ughh...what a pain..just glad that's over.." Mika sighed as the beast went away. Glad when a plan always comes together. NOW! They had to look for the actual controllers and continue one.
"Alright, now that THAT dumb sidequest is out of the way, we can-"
"Um...hi. Anyways, where were we at..?"
"..did you just go NPC mode or something? ..No, Plant, I do not want to feel...anything on you..." She looked at Elise in an odd way.
"Lovely! More plants to talk to! And royalty at that!" She said frustrated. "Just...ask it where it's at so we can steal the tech that's hurting her and get outta here.."

Elise reaches out for the Queen, she can feel another wave of feelings, distress and hope. It feel like a gentle stream falling upon your shoulder, you can tell that the being do not wish you harm either and that she knows you are here to help but also a warm caress as if embrace by someone familiar, though it may seems strange to you, the feeling is not agressive.
As Mika was starting to get impatient, a hole in the side of the wall suddenly open, the bark spreading apart to open a path, but a path to where? The long tunnel before them was set alight by small glowing insect while on the other end of the room stood another door made by men.
They were now given a choice, but which path to follow?

"I think that answers your question" Elise wondered, looking at Mika. "The Queen Tree opened a natural way for us to go, I guess" she paused. "Not that things made by people are bad, I'm learning that, is just that in this situation..." she shrugged, not wanting to disparage Mika's knowledge and dedication to technology, but the path was obvious from Elise's limited mindset.

"In a place like this, yeah it's pretty bad. Let's go down this door here so we can find what we're looking for, rip it out of the queen, harvest the tech and get on outta here." She nodded. "Thanks, Queen. I'll try not to rip out your guts while tearing out this tech. ..Wouldn't wanna damage the tech after all, it could be worth something."
