Tony Master - or as he is most well known, the Taskmaster - walked out of his hidden underground home into the large warehouse located just outside the city, which he had acquired for himself to perfom his personal training, the training of others, and generally serve as his base of operations. It was simple, practical, efficient. Nothing too fancy, but it worked just fine. A shooting range, a gym, a combat training area with training dummies and other devices he had acquired over the years as favors and payment for his teachings.
It had everything he need to practice what he learned and teach others the same. But today, his 'guest' was not a pupil of his, nor was he invited. Rather, he pretty much invited himself at the door.
Hermann Schultz, a.k.a the Shocker, currently on the Kingpin's payroll.
"Nice place you got here, Taskmaster", he said. "Relatively speaking."

"Shocker. What are you after?" Taskmaster asked readying his sword and shield to defend himself if need be.

Shocker raised his hands defensively.
"Woah woah woah, man, there's no need for that. Do you take up arms against just about anyone who comes here?" he said. "...You know who I work for. I'm here for business, of course. You still do business, do ya?"

Taskmaster slowly relented. "I do, when they have the money. You got some cash on you?" He asks.
4 stones in social skills to let Herman know that if he even wants to talk business, he better show me he has the green now.

"Hey, man, that may be how it works for small time transactions, but you and I both know that's not the kind I'm here about. Fisk does not deal in small change", Schultz pointed out. "Look. Things are changing... there's more heroes, more villains than ever. More enemies, and more rivals for him, right? We need to make changes to remain on top", he claimed.
"The Kingpin believes one way of doing that is to increase his organization's lowest common denominator. His men at the lowest level need to be the best out there. And for them to be the best... we need to have the best to show them the ropes, heh? So... think about it. Drop the merc work, and become a full time man of Fisk Industries. Think about it. You'd get backup, the best facilities money can buy. No need to worry about getting contracts, regular pay for your work. It's a dream job, Taskmaster!" he insisted.

"Your boss wants me to work for him exclusively, it's gonna cost him a pretty penny." He said pulling out a pen and paper and writing down his offer.
-500,000 dollars a month. -Full medical, and dental care along with legal protection should the law ever come down on him. -I'm just a combat trainer. I don't have to fight anyone I don't want to.

Schultz folded his arms, nodding as he read the piece of paper.
"...Would you be willing to drop the last point for twice that much?" he asked.

"That sounds like a reasonable concession." He said nodding.

"Then I think we've got ourselves a deal", he said, holding out his hand. "Whenever you want to move in, your quarters will be ready, and now that the boss knows you'll be joining us, he'll have training ground set up especially for you."

Taskmaster nodded and made arrangements for his things to be transported before heading over there.

Said arrangements done about an hour later, he was driven by a taxi to the front of Fisk's tower.

He went inside, and quickly put his mask back on before anyone could see him.

Once he was inside, a big guy in a suit - likely a guard - walked up to him.
"Welcome to Fisk tower. The boss would like to see you, but it isn't urgent. You can go now or I could show you to your quarters first?"

"I'll see him right away." He said. "Lead the way."

The man nodded, and led him to an elevator, going all the way to the third to last floor, which was Fisk's personal business floor, including his office, his secretary's, his bodyguards' stations, and so on. Exitting the elevator, the man in the suit led him to his boss' office. Taskmaster had been there before, of course; it wasn't his first dealing with the Kingpin, though it was the first time he was accepting a full-on exclusive partnership.
The imposing figure of Wilson Fisk was typing on his desktop computer when the secretary let them through. He soon enough finished what he was doing and turned to them, nodding at the man in the suit - who immediately turned around and left - while he gestured at the armchairs.
"Welcome to Fisk Tower, Taskmaster. Please, have a seat."
