I think a Charisma/Comeliness/Appearance ability was discussed briefly somewhere on this forum but I haven't been able to find it again. This is something I've thought about adding to my game, though I've only actually done about 10 minutes of work on it so far. I'm including what I've got so far here for anyone to look over and see what they think so far.
Basically Appearance would represent physical attributes as seen by everyday normal society. There would probably have to be many other considerations when using Appearance outside of everyday 'normal human' life. When used with Actions like conning, diplomacy, seduction, etc, it would obviously grant bonuses of some sort.
Anyway, here's what I have so far (because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I could be off with some of my examples).
Appearance
-5 Grotesque
-4 Monstrous
-3 Extremely Ugly (lower limit of natural human appearance)
-2 Ugly
-1 Homely
1 Plain
2 Average
3 Above Average
4 Striking
5 Beautiful
6 Gorgeous
7 Extreme Beauty (upper limit of natural human appearance)
8 Unearthly Beauty
9 Blinding Beauty
10 Godlike Beauty
Bonus red stones (must use during character creation; ie: cannot save these bonus stones for later use) for each negative level of Appearance (non-cumulative with any bonus stones for mutants with non-human appearances).
Examples:
-5 (Abomination, Doctor Doom, Caliban)
-4 (Beast, Thing, Omega Red)
-3 (Toad)
-2 (Blob, Sabretooth)
-1 (Wolverine)
1 (Professor X)
2 (Bruce Banner)
3 (Shadowcat, Jubilee)
4 (Iceman, Jean Grey)
5 (Wasp, Cyclops)
6 (Sage, Black Cat, Johnny Storm)
7 (Emma Frost, Rogue)
8 (Dazzler)
9 (Thor, Archangel)
10 (Aphrodite)
Appearance could also change during actions, and/or for other reasons. For example, Doctor Doom's Appearance above is without his mask, and Johnny Storm's Appearance would probably be less as Human Torch.
