OK, neither a snake nor a thug this time, but as promised here’s Nightshade. For those of you that don’t know her, Nightshade is a great but little used villain. She’s smart, sexy, and prone to throw childish tantrums. What more can you ask for from a supervillainess? The classic femme-fatal type super villain, she likes to surround herself with thugs or second-rate supervillains and even robots as muscle while she pulls off her mastermind plans. If she has too, she can hold her own in a fight but Nightshade rather out-think than out-fight her opponents and when things looks bad she’s doesn’t hesitate to make a quick escape.
I hope you guys have been enjoying these, but she’ll be the last one for a little while. I got a deadline creeping up for Necro games project that will be eating up most of my free time until the end of the month, but I’ll try to sneak one or two in before then.

Born into the poverty of Harlem, Tilda Johnson discovered her gift for science at an early age. Choosing to develop her talents in secret, she hid her brilliant mind behind a façade of childish behavior. By the time she was sixteen, Johnson had accumulated an extensive knowledge of chemistry, cybernetics, genetics, physics. Believing it the fastest, most lucrative way out of the ghetto, Johnson used her knowledge to begin a career in crime.
After a couple of years the budding criminal mastermind caught the attention of Yellow Claw. Bankrolled by Yellow claw and styling herself as the “Deadly Nightshade” she set a plan in motion that would use prisons as a source of power for the Yellow Claw. Though the use of chemicals she turned convicts into obedient werewolf-like creatures. Captain America and SHIELD foiled the plan, but Nightshade managed to escape.
Because of her failure, Yellow Claw cut her werewolf-research funding. Infuriated, she formulated her revenge. She managed to takeover SHIELD for a sort time by using pheromones to enhance her natural allure, but Captain America and the Falcon stopped her. This time she was jailed.
After escaping from prison, Nightshade returned to Harlem, where used her scientific know-how to create life-like robots in an effort to take control of the criminal underworld. Once again she hid behind a childlike façade, this time as the "mistress" of rising crime-lord "R.U. Rossum " (who was actually one of her robots). Nightshade succeeded in wrestling the protection rackets from local gangs and the organized crime Maggia families, and began to look for further criminal operations to take over. The heroes Power Man and Iron Fist, however, exposed her scheme and destroyed her base of operations.
She managed to escape, however, and remained undercover for several months. She surfaced with a scheme to recruit the monstrous Hulk as an accomplice to help her acquire a unique piece of circuitry developed by the Rand-Meachum Company, which could override the access codes of any computer system. She was opposed by Power Man, Iron Fist, and the robot Machine Man and was soon apprehended and imprisoned. After serving a short sentence, she was paroled and conceived a hasty plan to acquire funds for future operations. She assembled four accomplices, Stiletto, Discus, Man-Mountain Marko, and the second Eel and went to a debutante's ball to rob its wealthy guests of their valuables. Power Man and Iron Fist again thwarted her plans and apprehended Nightshade and her four accomplices.
Later, Nightshade resurrected a creature known as the Black Dragon, in order to control the beast she encoded it with a genetic "time bomb" and set it against the hero Black Panther.
She sent the dragon on a mission to capture Panther's U.S. State Department handler, Everett K. Ross. However, the Black Dragon had plans of his own and imprisoned Nightshade. Instead of capturing Ross, he switched bodies with him. When the Black Panther discovered this, he set out to destroy the Dragon's eggs, surreptitiously capturing Nightshade from beneath the Dragon's notice. Not wishing to engage the Panther directly, the Dragon confronted the Iron Fist, restoring his power that was lost at the time and brainwashing him into fighting the Panther. By a narrow margin, the Black Panther rendered Iron Fist unconscious, which helped restore him to his right mind. The Dragon battled both heroes directly and was ultimately defeated in the heart of the Panther's kingdom of Wakanda.
During this latter battle, Nightshade managed an escape attempt, finding a comatose body that proved to be a duplicate of the Black Panther. Using her genetic skills, she resurrected the duplicate,(actually Panther’s duplicate was pulled from the future by the mystical King Solomon's Frog) and tried to set him up as the rightful ruler of Wakanda with her by his side. The two Panthers confronted one another, but the Panther allowed his duplicate to coexist with him as he continued ruling the Wakanda throne. Nightshade was allowed to stay with the Panther-duplicate, as her medical skills seemed necessary to the continued survival of the duplicate.
The Black Panther continued to adventure alongside his double until it grew gravely ill due to a brain aneurysm and was placed into a coma. At this point, Nightshade, no longer useful, seemed to disappear from the scene. Her final fate remains unknown but may presumably have been remanded to custody.
