DESCRIPTION Johnny Storm is the younger brother of Sue Storm and the only son of Dr. Franklin and Mary Storm. Despite Mary’s death in a car crash when Johnny was very young, he developed a love of automobiles and racing. He spent most of his free time with mechanics and quickly learned to repair and rebuild cars. When Johnny came out to Central City, California, to visit his sister, he learned that Sue was planning on being a passenger on Reed’s starship’s maiden flight. Johnny insisted on coming along. After the creation of the FF, Johnny and Sue returned to Long Island. There he managed to graduate from high school while simultaneously learning to be a super hero. After graduation, Johnny moved with Sue into the Baxter Building. He attended Metro College for a year before dropping out. He has had a series of romantic flings with various women through the years. Former girlfriends include Dorrie Evans, Crystal, Lorrie Melton and Frankie Raye.

Powers: GENERATE AND CONTROL FIRE. Johnny can generate flame from all or part of his body. He can also control external fires within a five-area range with Unearthly ability. He can shoot flame with Remarkable Agility up to three areas away, doing up to Unearthly damage. Johnny can also create shapes of flame in geometric, alphabetic, or cagelike forms within a three-area range, each lasting for as long as he concentrates upon them. FIRE RESISTANCE. He has Unearthly resistance to fire and heat. FLIGHT. He can fly with Amazing speed (normal 8 areas/top 25 areas). He can carry up to 180 lbs. with him, but this reduces his speed to Remarkable. He can also hover in place BODY ARMOR. His flame is Incredible Body Armor against all physical weapons, except weapons of Amazing (or better) material. All slugfest, grappling, and charging attacks do normal damage to him, but anyone who touches his flaming form suffers Incredible damage. NOVA BLAST. While in flame state, he can explode into a fiery blast, causing Shift X damage (150 points) to everything within 5 areas. Johnny's flame dies out immediately after this attack and his powers are reduced to Feeble. He must make a successful Endurance RED FEAT roll immediately afterward or fall unconscious for 1-10 rounds. WATER WEAKNESS. Johnny Storm cannot ignite his flame underwater, and dousing him with a high-pressure water hose causes him to crash if he is flying. Rain does not normally stop his flaming powers, however, as he can evaporate it with his body heat before it touches him. If soaked, he must wait 10 turns before he can ignite himself. Talents: Johnny's Intuition and Reason are Excellent regarding cars and racing. Background: Johnny is the youngest member of the FANTASTIC FOUR. He accompanied his sister Sue, her fiance Reed, and pilot Ben Grimm on an unauthorized space mission that met fortuitous disaster when it flew into a belt of cosmic radiation.
