Let's re-open the books. From what I've read there is a general consensus that Prescience just causes too many problems at the table than the benefit it's worth. True, revealing potential dangers to a Prescient player EVERY panel is incredibly annoying, but I may have a solution.
Prescience
Cost = 6 white stones
Superior to mere Animal Senses, Prescience warns a character of dangers that would otherwise be unknown to him before they happen.
Players that purchase this modifier enjoy the convenience of changing their stone allocation when given the opportunity to by their GM.
If the GM targets the character with an attack that would overcome his defense the player must be given opportunity to change his stone allocation. The GM is not required to announce who is attacking him in this way, nor by how much the attack would overcome his defense.
Options
Instinctive Dodge :: -2 white stones
A character that uses this option must change his stone allocation to increase his defense by at least 1 stone whenever he is given the opportunity by his GM.
Anticipate Failure :: +2 white stones
A character that uses this option is given the opportunity to change his stone allocation whenever he targets an enemy with an attack that would not overcome that enemy's defense.
Prescient Teamwork :: +2 white stones
A character that uses this option is given the opportunity to change his stone allocation whenever any ally he can see is targeted by an attack that would overcome that ally's defense.
If the character using this option also uses the Anticipate Failure option, he may change his stone allocation whenever any ally he can see targets an enemy with an attack that would not overcome that enemy's defense.
Thoughts?
