Realized how many of my favorite CADs have vanished from my outbox and decided to start an archive to prevent this. First up, my rejected Persona CAD:
Hachibana "Akiha" Akihamaru
Age: 16 Height: 5'11" Weight: 136 lbs. Eyes: Black (Glasses: Mirrored) Hair: Purple-black
Abilities: (11w)
Str: 1 (1r) Agi: 4 (2w) Spd: 2 (2r) Int: 5 (3w) Health: 3 (1w) Pool: 4 (2w) Regen: 4 (2w)
HP: 9 Energy: 12 Regen: 6
Actions: (11w 2r (7w 2r paid))
Technology - 3 (2w)
Private Investigating - 4 (2w) - Searching/hacking info - Evidence gathering (physical) - Breaking and Entering - Legal/Police procedures
Close Combat - 2 (2r) [Agility Bonus/Weapon Mod] - Boxing - Kendo
Ranged Combat - 3 (1w) [Weapon Mod] - Lucky shots - Throwing coins - Revolvers
Social Skills - 3 (1w) - Occult trivia - Internet/gaming culture - Law Enforcement
General Knowledge - 2 (1w) [Intelligence Bonus] - Detective otaku - Occultism
Gaming - 3 (1w)
Cooking - 5 (3w)
Modifiers: (2r)
The Potential
Wealth 2 (2r)
Challenges:
High Standards (3w) - Akihamaru holds others to high standards, and tends to get irritated when others can't figure out what's going on. On the other hand, his personal standards are even higher - He tends to beat himself up over minor failures, and is easily frustrated when his personal methods fall through. On the other hand, this means when things actually work out for him he can get a bit full of himself.
Bad Reputation (2w) - "Akiha" is known to be... a little creepy. While he's also known as the guy to go to when you need anything done, his tendency to break more than he fixes when he takes on a case means people are reluctant to turn to him for help as a rule. Only the truly desperate venture into Akihabara. Plus, he's kind of a nerd. I mean, he named his detective service after the tech ward of Tokyo. Some of his clients have even spread rumors that he relies on black magic to solve cases...
Easily Distracted (1w) - Akihamaru is an otaku where detectives, real and fictional, are concerned... with all that entails. Mention one even in passing and he'll be able to give you their entire history. Doesn't help his image, either.
Background:
Hachibana Akihamaru, better known as "Akiha" due to the easy shortening and his technical skills (Akihabara being Tokyo's main technical district) is Hekitosai's resident technical ninja. More infamous, however, is his own personal Akihabara - an unofficial detective service run by the man himself. Obsessed with detective fiction, he's thrown himself at the standards of amazing fictional men like Sherlock Holmes or Zenigata Heiji, true Renessaince men, and used their styles of detective work to put together his own unique method of producing evidence that shocks and wows those who dare to meet his fees... or even put up with him.
It's not that he's unsociable - rather, it's almost the exact opposite. With the way he talks, he tends to scare off even those who manage to get past the unnaturally reflective glasses (some claim he does that on purpose) and the general ambience given off by the great blue glow off his deep purple-black hair. Not to mention he usually has all sorts of occult knick-knacks laying around the place... Akiha's not above relying on the supernatural to close a case, and the rest of the world knows it - and in Hekitosai, they tend to exaggerate it. He's even rumored to be some sort of dark wizard. Ironic, eh?
Despite this, Akihamaru's a relatively normal guy, irritated by the fact that nobody seems to take him seriously unless they're terrified by the rumors. He's the leader of several clubs, mostly tech, lit, and of course occult clubs, which have a huge membership that basically never shows up. He appears to be unnaturally popular - but he knows most only joined out of fear of what he might do, either naturally or not, which is why they're also very careful not to show up, in case THAT manages to set him off. He's even managed to nearly empty out the local cooking club, his last resort - and an activity he's become desperately attached to. One day, he plans to open up a resturant to go next to Akihabara - fearsome or not, if he can just cook the perfect dish, maybe he'll overcome the barriers his reputation has built around him... Today, though, he's got one thing on his mind.
Akihabara's gotten another case - a mysterious disappearance of a number of people's belongings. And the best place to find a likely thief is skulking around Down to Heaven - that's where everyone ends up, most nights. Time to earn his keep.

The Fastest Man Alive
FLASH Wally West
Abilities:
Str: 2 Agi: 8 Spd: 10* & Int: 3 Dur: 5
* Functions as Initiative
Actions:
Mastery of Speed Force: 10 - Efficient - Functions as Speed - Speed according to Flight Speed D&R &, can break Light Speed. - Does not spend stones for movement, but is limited to 10 stones of effect including movement. - Can grant others Speed = Stones Spent - Can absorb others' speed - attack Vs. Speed to paralyze them for panels = stones of effect. - Phasing (Optional Charge Objects when he does so - he can choose to transfer speed into the object, causing it to explode when he passes through it) - Unexpected Effects (As the number of stones spent into the Speed Force approaches 10, weirder things become more likely to happen. These include Time Travel, being absorbed into the Speed Force (this tends to take extended action at top speed), or whatever else the writer/GM decides it can do so long as it's tangentially related to the concept of speed). If he exceeds lightspeed, something is almost guaranteed to happen. - When disabled, Wally is restricted to Mach 1.
Close Combat: 3 [Speed Bonus/Weapon Mod] - High-speed attacks - Running circles around his opponents - Evasion
Private Investigating: 3 - Forensics/CSI - Police Protocol
Social Skills: 5 - Millionaire Playboy - Charm - Public Relations - Superhero community - Police Protocol
Modifiers:
Reflexive Dodge: 6
Wealth: 5 - Wally won the lottery. He does, however, occasionally mis-manage his millions, so he's never really managed to make much of it.
Energy Battery: 2
Equipment:
Flash Costume - Specially designed to withstand the extreme speed of the Speed Force, especially where time-travel, phasing, and other strange activities are involved.
Challenges:
Psychological, irresponsible - Wally's grown a bit as a hero, but he's always tended to be a bit... distracted. Wally's playboy attitude extends into his work as a superhero and sometimes he marginalizes the threats he faces or gets a bit showy with how he fights crime.
Vulnerable loved ones - While most of his loved ones are fellow speedsters, which makes them a bit safer, there's always Linda Park, the girl of his dreams.
Deadly Enemies - ...They're called the Rogues. There are a lot of them. One of them throws boomerangs. To say nothing of Zoom, who's obsessed with making Flash a "better" hero... by ruining his life at every opportunity.

On the minus side, I tend to overreact to the crazy things that happen in life. Also, my "cool ideas" tend to rocket right past me as soon as another one shows up, so I'd be a horrible Inventor. ("I've got it! A jetpack! No, wait, laser gun would be cooler. But what if it was a sword? Oh, I know! A nanotech sword that can extend itself into a beam! Maybe on fire... Hey, how about a jetpack!")

One of my personal favorite characters to play, though I wish I'd managed to be more active at the time:
Captain America (2099) Aliases: Archer Evans, "Steve Rogers" Height: 6'4" Hair: Blond Eyes: Green (wears contacts to make them blue)
Abilities: (12w)
Str: 4 (2w) Agi: 4 (2w) Spd: 3 (1w) Dur: 4 (6w) Int: 3 (1w)
Actions: (10w)
Close Combat: 4 (2w) [Str Bonus or Weapon Mod] - Using the Shield - Military CQC - Boxing - Hand-to-hand
Ranged Combat: 5 (3w) [Weapon Mod] - The Mighty Shield - Guns
Social Skills: 5 (3w) - Public Relations - Military Protocol - Advertising - Charm - Being "Steve Rogers"
Acrobatics: 4 (2w) [Agility Bonus]
Modifiers: (11w)
Reflexive Dodge: 2 (3w) Toughness: 1 (2w) Wealth: 6 (4w)
Equipment: (16w)
Kevlar/mail Costume +1 Toughness The Shield: +6 RW/CCW/Defense, AP (15w), Indestructible (1w) Super Serum: Several doses, which are generally kept hidden in one of the pockets of his belt. These supplement the original treatment and are partially responsible for his powers - without them, his body begins to fatigue due to the extreme strain of maintaining peak human performance. Without a dose every couple hours, he begins to tire quickly (stone regeneration nulled w/o serum)
Challenges:
Conflicting Interests (4w) - Captain America was supposed to be just a way for a corporation to score a quick buck. But Archer himself can't stand the idea of letting down the icon he's pretending to be, meaning sometimes he goes the extra mile in a way that jeopardizes his future - or, more heinously, his profits.
Owned (3w) - The name, the mask, even the face behind it are all technically licensed out to Stark-Fujikawa, making Archer a tool of the megacorp even as he tries to be a real hero.
Dependency (2w) - As detailed above and below, his original treatment was flawed, and requires a dose of a booster serum to maintain his efficiency.
Background: Archer had always been an avid fan of the legends of the Age of Heroes. Most of all, he'd been a huge fan of Captain America - which is why, when Stark-Fujikawa discovered a portion of its founder's will which included the dispension of a fellow Avengers' most famous item, he was amazed to find out that he was, in fact, a descendant of the famous Bucky Barnes and thus the closest living relation to Captain America's legacy. Stark-Fujikawa, however, smelled profit in the overjoyed young fan and offered him a greater opportunity - to put it to good use. Pulling strings, they did their best to fake every aspect of the original - forming a new serum from a record of Rogers' DNA, they managed to give Archer comparable abilities, though he requires a variety of supplements to truly match the original Rebirth serum. He already had the blond hair, and with the physical boost from the serum and a pair of color contacts he was able to be "Steve Rogers" as long as the mask was on. Even with it off he resembles his idol. Archer Evans was really looking forward to being the return of one of the true heroes of the last Age.
Unfortunately, Stark-Fujikawa wasn't as likely to let him get away with it. After giving him the treatments and a huge amount of training in how to act like Steve Rogers based on archival footage, they explained to him the immense cost of the program... And outlined their terms. Now Captain America is a tool of the megacorp, rarely allowed into high-risk situations, and prone to getting in trouble with his superiors when he decides to try and really, truly act like Steve Rogers. And while he wants to really unite the hero community like his idol, he just doesn't have the same understanding of people and tactics that made the original such an inspiration. Archer Evans, however, still dreams of being a hero. It remains to be seen if the world he lives in and the man he works for will let him.

Tobias Asgeirr
Abilities: (16w) Strength - 5 (3w) Agility - 4 (2w) Speed - 3 (1w) Intelligence - 5 (3w) Durability - 5 (9w)
Actions: (25w)
Close Combat - 5 (6w) [Strength Modifier or Weapon Modifier] - Armor Piercing (Asgardian Magic) - Brute Strength - Martial Arts - Spears - Hammers - Godly Strength
Social Skills - 6 (4w) - Lying - Secret Identity - Hiding Body Language - False Sympathy - Bravado - Godly Demeanor
Mastery of Magic - 3 (3w)
Asgardian Sorcery - 6 (9w) - Emphasis on lightning and fire
Spying - 5 (3w)
Modifiers: (9w)
Immortality (3w) - Appears always 22 Toughness +4 (6w)
Challenges: (10w)
Conflicting Desires (5w) - Torn between his duties to Asgard and Midgard, Tobias is also torn in his identity - he knows he's not really human, not anymore, but he also feels like, being mortal-born, he can't really be an Aesir, either. There's been many a time where Tobias has felt a want to put away the armor and the mask, but he also feels bound to his identity as a brother to the Aesir and his debt to them as their almost-traitor.
Psychological, Guilt (2w) - Tobias is prone to guilt - guilt at concealing his identity when next to Thor, who feels no such need, and guilt in what he almost did to the Aesir at the direction of his father and most importantly guilt to his mortal mother for never letting himself see her or admit his being alive. Even a bit of guilt for the God of Evil.
Psychological, Grudge (1w) - Tobias holds a deep, reserved hatred for Loki Laufeyson, his father, over the various injustices Loki has done him, not in the least the sense of otherworldliness he feels no matter where he goes, and also his treachery of the Aesir, who Tobias thinks of as his real family.
Instinctively Deceitful (2w) - Tobias finds himself relying on lies and half-truths by nature - every aspect of his early learning was controlled by the god of mischief and even now he tends to rely on lies as a way of hiding who he is and as basic communication. Even his body language fights against showing the truth and he tends to retreat into himself when pressured for it.
Deadly Enemies (3w) - Loki hates Tobias just as much as Tobias hates him - but not as much as he hates his brother, Thor, so Tobias is usually safely ignored. When the Sky-Walker finds a moment to focus on Tobias, though, it tends to end poorly...
_____
The Fluff:
Appearance: Tobias is tall and strong like his uncle, though with some of the wiry, hidden strength of his father. His features are mostly sharp and Nordic, but his raven-black hair and a slight blunting in them, along with a mixed tone of skin that looks almost Mediterranean but closer to Oriental, shows his mother's side of the heritage. His eyes are a dark, dark blue that look black in all but the brightest light, though they shine blue when he's commanding lightning around.
Background: Tobias Asgeirr (one his true name, the other a barb hidden by Loki - "god-spear" indeed; a reference to the slaying of Baldr the same time that it was a warrior's name to win the respect of Thor in another underhanded gesture by the god who was best at those) was a child of Asgard. More specifically he was a son of Loki himself, the God of Evil - but in all appearances he was a son of Thor, of the thunderer himself, and that was the point Loki had intended. His gift of thunder was bought off a foreign god with a hidden interest in the child thanks to Loki's infinite tricks - a maternal ancestor, possibly Raijin or Indra, one of the Eastern gods. So in every respect he seemed to be a son of Thor, with Thor's talents and a mortal right to a divine inheritance. When he was two and just starting to form words his house burned, a torrent of flame, while his mother was gone. He was dead - her child burned in a torrent of flame.
But that was just the mortal bits - Loki is a god of flame as well as a god of lies and mischief, and he'd used the flames to burn away everything that made Tobias mortal, until Tobias was a perfect immortal child who could wield Thor's thunder like Thor himself... But with a mortal claim to inheritance and to a portion of Thor's benevolence and his power. Loki planned to use the child to draw Thor's domain to him piece by piece, and to turn the Thunder-God's powers on himself in Ragnarok, armed with an immortal weapon. So the first words that were taught to Tobias were lies just as he was learning to shape his own and he came as near as a mortal could to matching the silver tongue of the God of Lies himself. Which was the first step.
The second was teaching him the Asgardian ways of combat - how to command thunder with Thor's superiority and impetuousness, how to strike with a perfectly calculated blow of pure, blunt strength, how to use the spear and the hammer and how to mimic the thunder-god's ways so that he'd see a son - how to lie with his body like he did with his mind and his mouth. And, when the time came, how to strike the killing blow that, thanks to a word of command from Loki himself, would cut through the Thunderer's armor in a clever deception of flame. So that was the lesson that carried him out of childhood.
The last lesson, of course, was the most important, and that was how to lie to himself and use himself as a weapon. Tobias was taught to care for the Aesir, to despise Loki as they did, to believe in every way possible that he hated Loki so that even Odin would think he was as true a son of the Aesir as any of them. And here Loki slipped up - he taught too well, because in creating an immortal child he had created an awareness early enough that Tobias knew what Loki had done to his mother and he knew that he had been snatched away and where he pretended to hate Loki so that he could lie to the Aesir, he hated Loki and lied to the father of lies. And finally Loki sent him to the Aesir with his claim.
And when Loki showed to congratulate his brother with false words the congratulations of finding a lost heir and warrior-son, he found all the Aesir gathered against him, and sure enough Tobias's hands did cut through armor: his. Loki retreated to lick his wounds, but Loki hasn't forgotten. He's not in the habit of giving up a grudge. Since then Tobias has lived with the Aesir when he could, but he was still aware of the mortal world he was cut away from and he goes whenever he can with Thor and sometimes without him to Midgard to serve as a hero there.

Social Skills: 2 (2r)
General Knowledge: 5 (4w) [Int Bonus] * Computers * Physics
Firestorm Matrix: 4 (35w) (as Phoenix Force - manipulates Matter/Energy) - Cannot be used on Organic matter; creates harmful feedback (1 stun damage for each stone of effect) (-2CL) - Nuclear Blasts (2x damage, AP) - Force Field at AN - 2x AN free red/panel
Flight: 3
Phase Shift: 3 (1w) Firestorm Matrix does not function while phased (-2 CL)
Challenges: (8w) Compulsion to stick up for the underdog -3 Deadly Enemies (-1; Ronnie is in the Witness Protection Program due to his mother having been a witness against a mobster) Deadly Enemies (-2; Firestorm has earned himself a nemesis in the form of Multiplex, a fellow survivor of the nuclear accident that formed Firestorm) Deadly Enemies (-2; Killer Frost, an obsessed student of Professor Stein's with powers over cold who's determined to kill Firestorm)
Background: Ronnie Raymond was, to all appearances, a fairly ordinary student - athletic, decently smart, an overall nice guy. Having just transferred to a new high school (and striking up a rivalry with the local 'genius', Cliff Carmichael), he decided to join a local activist group against nuclear power as an attempt to impress a girl by the name of Doreen Day. The group was planning to protest outside of a newly finished nuclear power plant that had just gone up in Westchester. Unfortunately for Ron, the leader of the group, Eddie Earhart, had less-than-noble intentions for the protest - after breaking in, Eddie rigged the plant to explode and knocked him out when he tried to stop him. The scientist responsible for designing the plant, Martin Stein, was also knocked unconscious in the break-in.
Ronnie awoke too late to stop the bomb from going off - but strangely, the nuclear explosion spared him and the good professor Stein. The energy of the blast fused them together into a single being, capable of manipulating matter on the nuclear level. Since Professor Stein was unconscious, Ronald has full control of this form, though Stein can still communicate with Ronnie during the transformation. Naturally, the first thing Ronnie did was take care of Eddie, sending him and the rest of the Coalition to jail. Since then, he's fought crime throughout New York, and earned himself something of a nemesis in the way of Multiplex, a fellow survivor of the nuclear plant who gained duplication powers, and Killer Frost, a former student of Professor Stein's who has dangerous powers over cold.

Modifiers: (1w 2r))
Can breathe underwater (1w) Wealth 2 (2r)
Equipment: (12w)
Lucky Charm (12w) - Good Luck 3 - Balanced
Challenges: (3w)
The Choice (-1w) - Should a full-on war between the Fae hit, he'll be forced to choose sides and become involved, something he dreads (he's got no taste for Faerie politics).
Psychological, short-sighted (-1w) - A classic case, Nick never even stops to think about using his charm and swimming ability to become a world-famous Olympic champion or sucessful actor. Or to take any chance to do anything responsible, really.
Non-human appearance (-1w) - Nick always looks a bit damp - luckily, being a surfer, he usually gets away with it, but it gets a bit weird when he's been off the beach for weeks and still looks like he just came in off a wave.
History: When one of your ancestors is famous for seducing sailors, you really shouldn't be surprised if you're not the first of your kind. In Nicolas's case he's got an absolutely maddening number of siblings and cousins... and a rather crazy aunt. On the plus side, he can stop most people dead in their tracks.
Nicolas is the creatively-named son of a Nix, a sort of water-maiden reminscient of the Siren and famous for much the same behavior - being ridiculously beautiful and leading people to their deaths by luring them into sharp, pointy rocks where they're mercilessly destroyed by the waves. Luckily for all involved, Nick doesn't care much to sing. Or kill people. The ridiculous beauty, though? Yeah, sure. A little androgynous for some people's taste (or safe sense of masculinity), Nick has definitely inherited at least one bit of the Nix's legacy. Well, two, counting the shapeshifting. He's a bit of a flirt, but people bore him so relentlessly that he rarely follows through on his advances, making him (mostly) harmless. He's also a bit of a pickpocket and a fence; and by 'a bit', I mean enough to fund a nice place on the beach and a hobby of surfing and swimming, his way of staying close to his heritage. And better yet, he gets away with all of it, courtesy of a lucky bit of golden charm that his mom passed off to him.
Unfortunately for him, the same luck that lets him smooth-talk everything and always be around for the conveniently placed river (or fjord, or inlet, or canal...) has managed to cause him quite a bit of trouble, too - mostly because it's a piece of the Rheingold. And people watch WAY too much Wagner. Nonetheless, it's led to the ridiculously unconcerned changeling finding himself confronted with a world he hoped to ignore, a Choice he thought he had firmly made, and an almost ironic amount of bad luck that seems to catch up with him whenever it really shouldn't.

SPADE Name: Edward "Eddie" Kane Eye Color: Blue (two different shades) Hair Color: Black Species: Human/Alien hybrid
Biography: Eddie Kane was a fairly normal teenager with just a slight two-tone case of heterochromia, which mostly made him "cool" instead of "freaky". Not a computer genius by any means, he did get a little bit of practice taking apart just about anything he could get his hands on - and his interest in mechanics managed to convince the local tech club's leader to actually get his club into a Stark Industries tour! Naturally, just about everybody on the tour was excited to get to check out the place where stuff like Iron Man was put together. Kane, on the other hand, wanted to get a little closer to the action... and managed to find time, when the others weren't looking, to grab ahold of one of the suits! Surprisingly, it whirred to life almost immediately... giving Kane a shock in more than one sense, as the activation of the suit awakened a newfound energy in its new pilot! Realizing it wouldn't be long before Stark security caught up with him, Kane took the thing on a bit of a joyride - all the way home to his little corner of L.A., where he commenced to test out its powers in a somewhat over-done gangbusting venture, shocking a few local gangs into compliance and leaving them for the authorities to find. Of course, behavior like that didn't exactly help him lay low, and it wasn't long before Stark himself tracked him down in his own high-tech suit, and easily outpaced the less experienced pilot before bringing him back to the Stark Enterprises office.
Fortunately for Kane, what should have been a serious problem for the young man was absolved by two major things: The first being his having done nothing to seriously harm anyone (though some of the criminals he'd played around with were a bit busted up), and the second being that Tony Stark had never intended that ANYONE should be able to use that suit. The suit, Stark explained, had been designed for a now ex-member of the Avengers... a man who should have been the only person able to operate the Zero Suit, which had in fact been designed to work exclusively with the alien powers of a late Avenger, the Jack of Hearts. This, and Kane's unusual eyes, led Tony quickly to the relevation that what he had in front of him was yet another Contraxian. Armed with criminal damages, theft, and most of all, Kane's secret identity as the one responsible for his little vigilante joy-ride, Stark issued an ultimatum - use and test the Zero armor, or Stark would hang him out to dry!
Needless to say, Eddie Kane is now pursuing a prestigious tech internship under the watchful eye of the legendary Tony Stark himself.

Technology: 3 (2w)
Social Skills: 4 (2w) - Internet culture - Streetwise
Challenges:
Psychological, temper (1w) - Many is a time that Eddie Kane's been tempted to grab his suit, come back, and settle things with a well-placed Zero Blast.
Alien heritage (2w) - As a human/Contraxian hybrid, it's not hard to imagine that Spade will find himself facing some serious threats on account of his parentage very, very soon.
Conflicting interests (2w) - Spade wouldn't mind the chance to take the suit out on the town and take care of his own problems, but unfortunately he finds himself under Stark's thumb most of the time. Needless to say, he's not exactly overjoyed about that.
Zero Armor:
Bio: Designed for use by the late Jack of Hearts, the Zero armor uses a system that constantly recycles the high-energy substance known as Zero Fluid into a field of energy that surrounds the suit. However, the Zero armor only works to its fullest when activated by a person with latent Contraxian heritage, due to the unique combination of Contraxian DNA and Zero energy that allows one to focus its power.

Name: A'Sharad Hett Race: Human Age: 15
History: A'Sharad Hett is son of former Jedi Knight and Tusken warlord Sharad Hett. Sharad himself was human, as is A'Sharad, and the boy showed potiential, getting his early training from his father. At the age of 15, his father's location was revealed (Sharad having gone into exile) and the Jedi came looking for him. Unfortunately, so did Jedi hunter Aurra Sing. Aurra killed Sharad Hett, whose last request was that Ki-Adi-Mundi take the boy in as a Padawan. The Jedi master agreed, and A'Sharad was taken to the Jedi Temple.
