Looking non-human; Ami’s snow white hair and oddly colored eyes can pass as weird, but human. Her pointed ears are a different story.. (+2)
Fish out of water; Although Ami has already started to adapt to her new environment, she’s still rather clueless about most of it’s aspects (+2)
Deadly enemies/On the run; Her race was nearly extinct during the wars. To assure “nearly” turns to “completely”, the enemy set out huge bounties on any remaining Iofenarians (+2)
Addicted! Ami is addicted to sugar to a low degree, comparable to a mild smoking addiction. Furthermore, during her stay on earth, she has developed an addiction to entertaining media, including movies, music and video games (+2)

Hand-held gaming console, including a few games

Cheap, but clean, one room apartment
Background:
Not too long ago, the Iofenarian League was a powerful interstellar nation somewhere near the core of the Milky Way.
The Iofenarians, while physically rather frail, all were born with an inherent mastery over space itself that could manifest in various ways.
Teleportation of oneself or others, the generation of gateways or anomalies in space, both beneficial and destructive, were common occurrences.
Some Iofenarians even possessed the ability to actually exist and act in different places at the same time.
While those traits made them a powerful race, they also made them targets.
Another space faring race decided upon discovering them, that they posed too much of a threat and went to war without even making diplomatic contact first, much less a formal declaration of war.
Relying almost completely on their abilities, the League didn’t had much to offer in terms of military technology, and the quickly assembled fleet and armed forces stood no chance against the superior firepower of their enemy.
The war didn’t even last a year.
After that, the Iofenarians were almost extinct; every planet they inhabited was bombed into oblivion.
Few were left, all of them on the run.
To ensure no Iofenarian would survive, the enemy offered huge bounties for any dead specimen.
During the following months, many bounties were collected.
Only few Iofenarians remained.
One of those survivors is known as Ami’Bal Chiao’Tan Li’Sal Mel’Rana Pia-lu-amara, a member of the defeated Iofenarian military.
After her homeworld was destroyed, she fled into unmapped space.
For a short time, this went rather well, until her ship was tracked down by a group of bounty hunters near Proxima Centauri.
Underestimating their target, the group was defeated, though.
Running low on supplies, fuel and pretty much everything else as well, the runaway searched for a habitable world to hide upon.
The only one she was able to find was Earth.
It was quite ideal, though. The atmospheric conditions were near optimal and, best of all, it was already inhabited. Although the natives appeared to be kind of backward, there were billions of them, making the blue planet an extraordinarily good hiding place. Plus, they were located in a part of space that was nearly untouched by other civilizations.
Ami’Bal Chiao’Tan Li’Sal Mel’Rana Pia-lu-amara set down her ship near a highly populated urban area and destroyed it shortly afterwards to cover her tracks, both from her enemies and the indigenous population.
When she ventured into the nearby city, she experienced quite a cultural shock, although the predominant technology was pretty out-dated for her standards;
The Iofenarians were a pretty dull race. They rarely did something just for the fun of it. They ate tasteless nutrients, when they participated in medial activity, it was only to learn.
Activities for the sheer fun were unheard of.
They were boring.
But on this planet.. it was entirely different.
They had food with tastes. They even had food that was eaten solely for the purpose of tasting!
There was animated imagery without any intellectual value, people did.. stuff! without meaning..
This sensory bombardment almost made her forget in what tragedy she was really in.
When she remembered, though, she did what she was here for; she went into hiding.
Not entirely, but to a certain degree. Luckily, the indigenous population, they called themselves “humans”, wasn’t too different, anatomy wise, and Ami’s distinct features could be covered.
Over the course of the next few weeks, Ami spent her time first as a “tourist”, and then, after starting to learn the language and, more importantly, discovering the concept of “money”, as a “courier”.
But since she was reluctant to display her abilities, she used a “bicycle”, a primitive wheeled vehicle, powered by the driver.
And now? Now, Ami’Bal Chiao’Tan Li’Sal Mel’Rana Pia-lu-amara one to four out of a million of aliens in a city the size of five.
Maybe she is a bit more alien than others, but still – only one in a million.
