This is an attempt to recreate fights like those in the anime "Bleach" using house rules applied to MURPG. Feedback is welcome.
Reiatsu
Reiatsu is “spiritual pressure” given off by powerful characters. The more powerful a character, the more Reiatsu is given off and the more intense the pressure on those around them. Some very powerful characters can give off so much Reiatsu that inferior characters get woozy or faint. Most powerful characters must mask their Reiatsu in order to avoid being sensed by those in the Spirit World.
Shinigami
A character who is charged with governing and protecting the souls of the dead in the Spirit World and the souls of humans from Hollows.
Hollow
Former ghosts turned monsters. Occasionally they cross from their world into the spiritual plane of Earth, seeking to devour the souls of the living.
Zanpakuto
A Shinigami's primary melee weapon. When unreleased, it resembles an ordinary sword, usually a katana or wakisashi. A Zanpakuto's size is relative to the Reiatsu of its wielder; however a Shinigami can subdue the size of his/her Zanpakuto similar to masking their Reiatsu.
Shikai
The first stage of release for a Zanpakuto. At the Shinigami's command, the Zanpakuto will transform into a completely different, unique weapon. The possibilities are endless; so far, we have seen thousands of micro-blades, a combat knife, a ball-and-chain morning star, and a giant sword with no hilt (to name just a few!) A fairly powerful Shinigami with significant training will learn their Zanpakuto's name and with it a key phrase to activate Shikai.
The Shinigami pronounces their command and the name of their Zanpakuto (Shinigami who have achieved Bankai can bypass this step). The Zanpakuto transforms into its Shikai state. When in this state, the sword saps the Shinigami's energy regeneration at a rate of -1/turn.
The player makes the Shikai state when creating their Zanpakuto. The Zanpakuto is slated as having the Action “Transform Self” where the alternate form (the Shikai state) has 5 white character creation stones.
Bankai
The second stage of release for a Zanpakuto, known as “Full release.” While the Zanpakuto is in its first release, at the command of “Bankai,” the Zanpakuto transforms again. However, this time the outcome is much more varied than Shikai. Not only can the Zanpakuto transform itself, but the character him/herself may change drastically. Except under very special circumstances, this is the limit of a Shinigami's power.
Once achieving Bankai, the character is treated as having “Transform Self.” The alternate form is the same as the character's primary form, but the character may add 10 white character creation stones to any Abilities, Actions, Modifiers, and/or Equipment he/she has in their Bankai state. When in Bankai, the Shinigami's energy is sapped at a rate of -3/turn.
Vizard
Sometimes people are not as they seem – and that's exactly the case with Vizard. Vizard are Shinigami or former Shinigami who have confronted their inner demon – sometimes quite literally – and won. In layman's terms, a Vizard is a Shinigami who has harnessed or fused with a Hollow within them. Not much is known concerning how one becomes a Vizard – there seems to be more than one way to accomplish the feat.
A Vizard summons his/her power by donning a Hollow-like mask. The mask boosts the character's Abilities and combat-related Actions by 2 and give the character the following Action:
Cero (as Force Blast): 6
Range: 3
The mask may only be worn a total of 5 Pages per day.
