The problem between Nicaragua and Costa Rica is obviously a problem between Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
If you're getting mad about what a free map service says about your country - when you're the type of country that is in a border conflict ANYWAY - the problem is NOT with the free map service.
Middle East = Crazy Africa = Crazy Latin and South America = Just because it's not AS crazy as Africa or the Middle East doesn't mean it's not crazy.
I hate corporations as much as any informed consumer should (Although Google is almost "wholesome" as far as corporations go), but two people who are itching to pick a fight will use any excuse, and it's important not to forget that it's an EXCUSE.
Google maps is awesome. However if you didn't get wrong directions from them you'd get them from someone else. If you happen to be hiking near the border of Pakistan, it's your own damn fault for being a dumbass who thinks a good hike is worth 3 years in prison. I'm glad you ended up in prison, because as long as you're in there you're not infecting the gene pool with your particular strain of stupid.
Tip: Countries that can't get their own shit together generally will not give good directions. Therefore information you get about their borders IS DEFINITELY WRONG even when it's right, because getting anywhere near there is just plain dumb.
BTW I DID read the article, and I know that Google wasn't actually a big factor. My point was that even the article mentioned the problems between the country first, and the minor amusing Google details second.
