Has anyone else been reading up on this? Apparently Google almost started a war between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. I have to say wow, it’s almost like Google is a world power now. It would be weird if they got a seat on the UN or something. Could you imagine if Microsoft had a seat on the UN? It would be horrible, because their customer support always sucks. Some UN Speaker “We have a problem with food in the third world again. Microsoft UN Representative “uhhh, the problems’ on their end they’ll have to take care of it.” uk.reuters.com/article/idUKTRE6AD00C20101115

There have been a few cases that I recall where hikers have blundered across a border after being misled by Gmaps. This.. is a little more serious, though. And thus more embarrassing, heh.

How the heck would that be any different from the U.N.s "customer support" right now??? The U.N. hasn't successfully... anything... in the last 50 years, and they've become a gathering of dictators and terror-states.
I'll take a corporation over the U.N. any day. At least I know what to expect from corporations.

The first thing I pictured was a Google Black ops team ;D Mega companies have more people power and money than some small nations. It is only a matter of time before some company has some military style power and internal politics. . . oh wait, too late. www.corpwatch.org/article.php?list=type&type=210

It's a PMC. Almost...
Now, how long before they get a video game? Or a movie? You know it's got to happen, people like shooting 'bad guys' to much.
COD: Blackwater, coming November, 2011
God I hope not, because that would be a new low for humanity.

You could do anything you want, just make sure the feds aren't watching.

Again, I find myself utterly confused. COD: Black Ops is great, because governments are known for their moral restraint and forthright use of force.
But COD: Black Water would be an awful representation of just how evil people really are?
*shrugs* I'd play either. I like shootin' stuff that has eyes

Black Ops: Also evil
Just my opinion though.
I felt I should clarify that Black Ops is less evil, and I'll probably end up buying it. I'm against a Blackwater game mostly because (in my vision) it would glorify the PMC, which would lead to more delusional people setting them up, which finally turns into a world where war and death mean almost nothing because it's not your soldiers, on your land.
Then again, I come from a very odd family, and may be delusional.

*shrugs* I think pacifism is evil (okay, not actually evil, but incredibly selfish). To each their own.

When's the last time we've seen a good solid fsp that focused on cults and cult leaders like Jim Jones or the Waco Texas incident. With that being said, we get to play Grand Theft Auto, and Saints Row, but what about us who want to play dirty cops? Sure Fuzz was a fun mini game, but want a whole game where you’re like a bad ass cop from the 80’s with the mustache meeting with your snitch, and beating up some punks in hand cuffs.

There HAS to be a game out there somewhere where you play dirty cops... Maybe not a good one, but there has to be one. If not, there should be. I have nothing but respect for cops IRL, but the game could be a boatload of fun (and I'm not a big fan of crooks either, but I enjoy playing them in games as well).
I can't help but feel like any game involving knocking off a cult would inevitably have to be a supernatural/horror game to sell. I get where you're coming from, I just don't think a "Waco Compound" game would sell.

NARC: The game's power up system encourages you to take drugs, just not too much. From everything I've heard this game is a PoS
True Crime Streets of NY: Said cop was not dirty as in on the take, but rule books were out the effing window. Not a bad game, just overshadowed by GTA.

NARC was about 1,000 years ago (but I loved that game).
Don't remember True Crime, but all good police fiction requires the trope of at least one cop who is willing to ignore the rules to get the job done. It's just such a natural part of the landscape at this point

Unless you liked that reboot in which case I say, every game has a fan.

I didn't even know there was a reboot. I'm talking about the side-scrolling arcade shooter (I had it for Nintendo or Sega Genesis, can't remember which).
