They were talking about how stupid this was on the Puck Nuts podcast. Walt and Bryan keep making fun of how Penguin looks like Cyclops.

Alright, who voted on these names?
And here I thought MY idea of a good name was bad.
Although I do appreciate there's an Ohio based hero. And I'm EXTREMELY glad they went with Blue Jacket instead of Buckeye.

They were actually going to do this with the NFL, but the NFL wanted to use real players as the superheros. Then Michael Vick happened. And Marvel wisely stepped back.

I would totally buy a comic book about Michael Vick. Particularly if his sidekick was a rabid pit bull.

Michael Vick = worst Ranger ever. He just goes through Animal Companions like water.

Michael Vick = worst Ranger ever. He just goes through Animal Companions like water. Nope. He's a Druid. He summoned those things. It was okay that they died, because they were never real.

So... hockey teams are super heroes now? don't tell me you're supprised. Remember that Marvel sold out to Disney, and we all remember "The Might Ducks," cartoon in the 90's.

Unlike a lot of others, I don't consider Marvel belonging to Disney to be some kind of apocalyptic event signaling the end of Marvel's integrity.
First of all, Marvel had ZERO integrity long before Disney came along.
Second, and more importantly, it's not as if the stories could get any worse.
Disney = more money. More money equals more competitiveness for Marvel in the market, and hopefully higher budgets for the movies. It's all good.

And a superhero might ducks team in marvel, and the spiderman musical in broadway. I think most concepts-as-a-musical doesn't seem nearly so absurd to fans of musicals. I don't like musicals, but I get the feeling that those people who do like musicals feel like almost everything could be improved if it were a musical or at least had a musical bit. On a similar note, I think this is one of my major complaints with Family Guy. The show is funny and all, but Seth MacFarlane really wanted to make a musical at some point in his life, or at least that's what I can guess by how many episodes of Family Guy have musical numbers.

And a superhero might ducks team in marvel, and the spiderman musical in broadway. You're acting as if Marvel didn't do these idiotic things before Disney came into the picture.
