Heh, the death will be Robin, who returns from life as Nightwing. Then another Robin joins, who's alot more angry all around. He learns his mother is in danger by a supervillain. Said Supervillain kills him in front of the young justice. Third Robin joins, and all is well with the universe as Tim Drake is the greatest Robin. Rejected. I might be a Tim Drake fan, but that plot would be an insult to the face.

Also, you answered your own question- YJ comics was very Secret-driven. If she was in cartoon, they'd probably would have to do the same thing, which limits their writing. They’ve already used the comics’ initial “rescue superhuman from secret lab” arc with Superboy so I’m not sure how limiting it really is if they want to hit some of the same story beats anyway. Plus Secret was naïve whereas Miss Martian downright stupid so that feels kind of like one is replacing the other (they even have vaguely similar power sets). That’s my point. She’s every kid who has had their parents live vicariously through them … but as a superhero. That’s a great backstory. (Also I really want to see that sequence where Wonder Girl’s and Arrowette’s mothers fight animated. KICK HER ASS, CASSIE’S MOM!) Aqualad is a blank slate and Superboy behaves like neither his Young Justice or Emo-Titan counterpart so they really have only themselves to blame for the lack of leading men. Plus, if this Robin is Dick, it seems kind of criminal to use such a young version because any female comics fan (both of them) will tell you his sex appeal is a big part of the character. Interesting. The show only seems to be flirting with the kind of depth that would do a main character death justice. If they killed someone off, I'd put money on Artemis, as she's the 6th ranger right now. Possibly Speedy, if he counts. If Joss Whedon were writing, he'd take out Kid Flash, as he's sort of the heart of the team. I don't think the writers are quite that ballsy, though. I think the next best thing is to have Kid Flash come around to liking Artemis, then kill kill Artemis for the standard angst one-two punch. Another possibility is killing Calder or Superboy, who represent the most mature and arguably most powerful members of the team, which could be one of those humbling "what hope do the rest of us have?" blows, but that would probably entail a resurrection of some kind. Messy. My money is still on Artemis. ~TWF Agreed. Artemis and Calder were created just for the show so they seem the most expendable from a marketing standpoint. Additionally, they seem to be setting up Artemis as a traitor/spy for … someone (League of Assassins? Amazons? JLA?) so I figure her secret comes out, the team gives her the boot, and then she dies saving them in order to atone.

Can you survive all 10 minutes? ~TWF Put me out of misery. Please. This is enough to make me not want watch it and I only managed to see the first part of the first episode. If I have to go through every single episode with stuff like that, it is not worth it. No matter how cool the first episode was. And that is a really dumb catchphrase.

To be honest, she says that only 2 times per episode, so you can try and pretend it doesnt happen. And for the tenth time- ARTEMIS. EXISTS. IN. COMICS! AND. IM. NOT. TALKING. ABOUT. WONDER. WOMANS. FRIEND! dc.wikia.com/wiki/Artemis_Crock_%28New_Earth%29Yes, she looks different, but in she appeared in Young Justice comics, issues 22-24, as a member of Zandia (country of supervillains... just go with it) olympic archery team. She was defeated by Arrowette, who by then retired from superheroics and become a sport star. Apparently later Artemis became Tigress, like her mother. Btw, her daddy is "Sportsmaster", who as we know, is a member of "Light". So yeah, the plot thickens. Though her cartoon version is a little different ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) ![](http://thegurglingcod.typepad.com/thegurglingcod/images/2008/02/12/the_more_you_know2.jpg)

I was wondering when someone was gonna bust that out. "The More You Know" sign is what I mean. Still not sure if I can be able to handle it, but I will try to give the rest of the show a try.

I think we're meant to believe that Artemis is the traitor, but I suspect it's Speedy. The team will think it's Artemis, the team will only find out after she and Kid Flash finally hit it off, then she'll die saving the team or generally vindicating herself.
And yeah, two "Hello, Megan"s per episode is two too many for me. In general, it's the way her character is written as hopelessly naive and stupid. I understand that she's a fish out of water, but how would she fit in back home? She'd still be an airhead idiot. Because she's an airhead idiot. I hope they get the feedback and start writhing her with more some depth.

Two random thoughts, other than the fact that Megan doesn't bother me, though she doesn't interest me either.
1) Am I the only one who thinks Robin has more in common with Damien Wayne than any other Robin? I see Damien Wayne - cursing and death threats + Tim's Computer Skills + Jason's hard headedness + Dick's tactical skills.
2) Isn't it terribly foolish to put Nabu on a shelf when he could easily be doing some good in any number of places?

The traitor won't be Speedy. The character is too important to too many fans. It's almost certainly going to be Miss Martian, because she was a traitor in the real comics. She'll probably be the one who dies, as well.

Miss Martian would be the coolest traitor, imho. One last, "Hello, Megan!"

2) Isn't it terribly foolish to put Nabu on a shelf when he could easily be doing some good in any number of places? Dr. Fate isn't really meant to be a character, really. He's a plot device. I used to love him back in the day when he was a character, but even by DC standards, he's insanely powerful, even with an idiot like Kid Flash wearing the helmet.

Well, in this show, so are the JLA. It just seemed to make more sense to have him hand it over to the JLA than to put it on his shelf. Especially after the line about finding a new host.

I agree with regards to the "finding a host" bit... it was a bit incongruous. But with regards to the power level thing... that's kind of my point. As powerful as Superman and Batman are, Doctor Fate is still a titan by comparison.

I mean, I'm not up on my Dr. Fate, but unless him being active effectively prevents crime and disaster on a world-wide scale, I'm not sure his power level is relevant. Whatever he does, will be off screen, and will, ostensibly, not include what YJ deals with.
