I met up with some of my old crew from back in the day, and they wre wanting to get together for a roleplay. It's been around ten or so years since I've roleplayed with this group, but they are wanting to play, but burnt out on D&D, and I'm the only one of us with experience outside D&D. So, naturally I more or less the GM for this weekends session.
Because my group are dice chuckers, I'm thinking of going with the MnM 2e system for a couple of reasons. The first reason being my friends like to role dice, or they don't feel involved. A Second reason is that I've been working on a world using that system because I want to run a game on another site using it, so I have material.
However, I've never actually GM'd using this system, so I could use a few pointers from experienced GM's with this system. Long story short, we all have the PDF files, but can print off character sheets or whatever we need, but none of us are overly experienced in the system.
As for storyline, my created world is primarily based in a world that's inspired by the golden age, but most of the character actually age. I have a whole timeline planned with different characters for different time periods. Basically most of my characters masked identities have been passed down through generations, but some archetype characters don't age, or age very slowly. So, this is more or less the world where any original player characters will come from.
For my storyline for this campaign I'm thinking of working off of my multi verse alliance idea. Basically, it's kind of like my Marvel/DC Alliance idea, but further branched. So, there's a disturbance in the multiverse, but in this storyline the main target is "Earth Prime," or "Earth Zero."
This earth is more like Marvel's Earth Prime than DC's Earth prime. It's more or less normal, except for the occasional rare appearances from unexplained events. The concept is that Earth Prime is the rood of all dimensions in the multiverse, and whomever rules it rules the multiverse. So, the player characters will either try to stop it, or take over depending the group.
Another concept I've thought would be fun to try is letting them switch out characters for different sessions from the party, because the alliance is bigger than the three or four people I'm GM'ng.
Or we might just go to the nudie bar.
