Ok so I was just listening to a brainstorming session about ideas for characters the other night and I was curious. What is the funniest/weirdest/stupidest/coolest idea for a character that you've ever had?
Mine is a character that I am playing IRL. She knows everything there is to know about guns and uses them rather well and she has a healing factor (accelerated I believe) but her coolest feature is that she has transform self (I would say by touch is how I should have bought it but it was bought as transform self unlimited) What happens is when she touches certain metals, her body gives her different abilities and modifiers. It's out of control so it can happen at any time. The GM makes the cad for the new form and that is how I play with her. For instance, she accidentally touched adamantium last session and it gave her a mental defense that helped others so anyone within...I think the GM said 20 feet...of of her got it as well it also upped her strength and gave her these wicked claws. every form has it's disadvantages though and for this one, when the form wore off, it actually hurt my character and caused her to be in a coma and she will be for about 2 weeks. (A month of time passes between sessions) So yeah that is one of the coolest characters I've ever thought up.

Nice topic, Terra! My favorite character, and I only got to play her for two sessions because the game fell apart, was from Spirit of the Century. I had originally messed around with the idea for this character in DK's "Guardians" game on here, but really completed the character idea for SotC. Anyway! The character was Chloe Talley. She was a 6ft tall Amazonian-like cook from California who traveled to distant countries in search of mysterious ingredients. She was like... I dunno, Julia Childe and Indiana Jones rolled into one character. Her "Novel" - you make pulp novels for character creation in SotC - was about her search for Alexander the Great's tomb. He was rumored to be embalmed in honey when he was buried. Some say it granted immortality, but Chloe just wanted to incorporate it into her restaurant. She was a fun character. A fist-fighting tank I loved.

Funniest: I had a couple ideas for joke characters, one of which was "Stinking Fairy" who possessed Shrinking and Pheromones, would shrink to a very small size, and then fly up your nose to blast ass all day long.
Weirdest: Actually I think Stinking Fairy takes the cake here too.
Stupidest: Most of my ideas that centered on a force blast.
Coolest: I still want to make an effective ranged teleporter/portaller + limited prescience (Teleport)/prescience + Quick Draw (Teleport), but the truth is MURPG doesn't allow for it without serious help from the GM. Really though, to me, ALL of my ideas are the "COOLEST" when I first think of them and am excited to create them. I'd list more of them, but I may want to use them some day, and when I look around at characters on these boards I see that a lot of my ideas are still original and/or rare.

My custom character for one of my friend's game based on One Piece: "Doctor" Jessie Dawn MacKenzie. A semi-insane, somewhat mad (repetitive, but still so true) super-smart psychologist who also happens to be a self-taught doctor and scientist. Among other funny things, every time she analyzed the medical state of a wounded person, she would state "Hmm.... unfortunately, we have no choice but to amputate." After a few seconds, however (and thankfully), she would take a closer look and spout out something like "...........hey, wait... now that I think about it, maybe a simple bandage would do the trick. Lucky you." When she needed to wake someone up (either from unconsciousness, sleep or whatever else), she simply kicked them in the ankle, hard. As a psychologist, she could as well cure a mental problem as cause it. Finally, she had a couple of powers, as follows: 1) Oh, Snap!: When things aren't going her way, or when things seem bad, she snaps her finger and says "Oh snap." Unbeknowst to her, this causes a random object nearby to explode, a fact that is entirely outside her control and that she never realized to be her fault. 2) That's psychologically impossible: When a situation bothered her and she wanted it to change, she usually declared how it was "psychologically impossible", dut to a dozen of stupid and totally unrelated reasons, and thus it had to change. Saying so resulted in a minor alteration of reality (as Hex Sphere; again, the effect was out of her control, but she was aware that she was the cause of it, so she could "target" things with it), which altered the target somehow. Sometimes it helped, sometimes not, but whatever the result, she then looked at it and said "Ha! NOW it's perfect." 3) I don't remember the name of the last power, but it was basically a Create Illusions that had a requirement, the fact that she had to speak about what she wanted to see happening. For example, stating "Gee, I wonder what'd happen if the building collapsed." would result in an illusion of said building collapsing. Needless to say, wherever Jessie Mackenzie went, hilarity and chaos ensued.

Ok, just a few that I thought were cool:
For this one game on the board, I made a villain named the Jeweler who had Transform Self by Touch and would take on new forms by touching new crystals and diamonds. He was a jewel thief that was out to find all of the rarest ones around so he could attain nearly limitless power.
I also came up with a pul adventurer that had been frozen in some kind of stasis and reawakened in the present day. Upon his reawakening, he found that his internal temperature had dropped to a dangerously low level; in order to stay alive, he had a machine hooked up to his body that allowed him to steal heat from around him and keep it for himself. The feel was kind of what would you would get if you crossed the 1920s with robots.

My coolest and funniest idea for character will definetely be Vixie, a fairy sidekick for Peacesavers! (and many others). Basically, she's few inches tall, flies, wears little to no clothes and has minor magical powers, like healing, illusions, empathy and little lightning bolts. What made her awesome however, is that she's genre savvy, knows she's an RPG NPC character and just goes along with it, occassionaly lampshading it and even interacting with her creator (me ^^). She also has many, many part time jobs and sidekicks for about 10 heroes and teams. Also, despite knowing a lot more then anyone, she knows better not to steal anyone's spotlight. Basically- how a fairy companion SHOULD be like. Not an annoying buzzer.
