Beast is trying his best to make sure that not only do they stay on their current path, but that they don't crash either. But the news given by Nick Fury isn't good. Maybe they should help SHIELD after they get Cloud? Nah, they should have everything under control by then. He hopes they send help soon though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- H:3/3 Starting Energy:9/9

Robert "Bobby" Drake
-What the h... GAAAAAH!!
As he hears his friend tell them to brace for impact, Bobby panics just a little, turning into his hardened ice form as fast as he can as he prepares to, well, try and survive the crash.
But even then, he didn't panic enough to not say something funny...
-...Next time, I drive!
...an idea which'd send a shiver down pretty much anyone's spine. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start H: 3/3 E: 9/9
3 stones into Durability shifted into Defense;
also transforming into ice... and hoping for the best.
End E: 6/9 Defense: 3 (Actions), or 7 (4 Toughness, 3 actions) if I have the time to transform before crashing. Mental Defense: 3 (Intelligence)

The Defenders totalled the Quinjet! Do you know what kind of bill the Avengers are gonna sock them with? It cracks open like a broken egg dropping the heroes in mid-air!
The Gargoyle flies to catch Beast but no-one has Angel, Moondragon, Iceman or Valkerie!

"Thanks for the assist Gargoyle. But do you think the others would be alright? Angel obviously can fly to safety, but I am not sure if he can get the others in time. Or even carry them for that matter. I sincerly hope something happens to stop their fall." The fact that his teammates were in danger was something that would definetly distract his, and everyone else's, mind from the fact how much they are gonna owe the Avengers for the damaged Quinjet. Oh my stars and garters, don't they cost a million buck or something like that? And the fact that Beast himself was the one driving... it is very sad that his teammates doom would be helpful as a distraction as well. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- H:3/3 SE:9/9
Action 1:5 into intelligence to formulate a plan that would save his friend's life. That would include looking at the surrounding area to see if there is anything that would be useful. Which might be able to have Hank accidently seeing any nearby danger.
Defense:0 most likely (Since I only have reflexive dodge as a defense and that might be cancel due to be hovered in the air by Gargoyle. Oh and you might want to recheck the Beast CAD. You know, because you might decide that Beast's RD is too high like you did with Wolverine.) EE:4/9

Angel quickly flexes his amazing wings. The 16' wingspan is more than enough to keep him aloft, but his friends are in trouble. Quick assessment of the scene Angel sees that Gargoyle is taking care of Hank. Bobby, Valkyrie and Moondragon are falling. Warren is confident Bobby can handle himself. An ice-slide will guide him down and Valkyrie isn't too far away. In fact, she may be more comfortable with his cold shoulder than most, being a Norse Goddess. That leaves Moondragon. Warren doesn't know a whole lot about Moondragon. She is supposed to be a god or something, but he doesn't think he should chance it. He swoops her up and together they land. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Action 1: 2 Stones into Flight, 1 Stone to carry Moondragon and the other to land

(OOC: If you insist, toast, if you insist.... ;D)
Iceman
As far as Bobby was concerned, the scene was nothing short of spectacular. Heck, one does not get so forcibly ejected from an actual jet in mid-air every day. "To think I finally get to jump out of a plane without a parachute, and I owe it all to the Empire!... Guess I'll thank them when I kick their collective butt", the young X-Man thinks to himself. Now between sky and earth, Iceman quickly takes note of the situation around him and the quickly approaching ground... and the beauteous blond maiden falling not too far from him. Fate was a great provider. Creating an ice slide to slow his fall in such a way that he could catch Valkyrie, he headed for the ground, saying, as soon as Valkyrie could hear him (most likely after he caught her):
-Just checking, oh fair lady, falling off a plane is, or isn't dangerous, for the mighty Valkyrie of Asgard? Not that I want to keep you from using your amazing landing skills, but I thought it'd be best to ask prior you crashing into the ground... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start H: 3/3 E: 9/9
2 stones into Flight; 1 to fly at speed 2 towards Valkyrie and then in a way to not smash into the gound in order to land safely next to the others; 1 into control (or "Maneuvrability", whatever) to help doing that and/or my following action;
2 stones into Strength to catch Valkyrie as I speed by.
End E: 5/9 Defense: 5 (Ice Body) Mental Defense: 3 (Intelligence)

The ice-pole was Beast's idea, because Bobby was too far from the ground to form a proper ice-slide. The Defenders are fine--but Moondragon tells Angel that they must now pierce this power-field to gain entry to the Empire's Headquarters. Angel's Health: 3/3 Angel's Energy: 9/9
Beast's Health: 3/3 Beast's Energy: 7/9 [Beast is Agile like Nightcrawler, so I think the Reflexive Dodge of +3 is okay.]

Angel swoops down to the ground, in hopes that they could regroup and plan their next course of action. Especially how to "pierce the power-field." When Angel lands he gently places Moondragon upon the ground. He smiles at her. Can you ascertain how we can get through the power-field? -=-=-=-=-=-=-= Action 1: 2 Stones into Flight, 1 Stone to carry Moondragon and the other to land.

Iceman
As soon as he and Valkyrie safely reached the ground, Iceman approached the force field (without getting too close either; who knew if it was safe to touch it?), and said with a big smirk on his face:
-Yeah... I'd have suggested to crash something huge at great speed right into it, but... we kinda already tried that, and it didn't work too well. You think we can get past it from under the ground?

Iceman
Iceman gladfully agrees; this reminds him of a comic book he read not too long ago. The heroes use their powers all at once to defeat the evil sorceror and save the world!
-Hey, great idea. How about I start... with this!!
Bobby creates large ice pikes which he then throws at the force field, taking the lead in the combined assault. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start Start H: 3/3 E: 9/9
3 stones into Mastery of Ice to create +3 Ice Pikes;
2 stones into Ranged Combat (Ice Weapons, Thrown Objects) plus 3 from my Ice pikes into a 5 stones attack VS the barrier.
