I've played both of these games briefly, and they both pretty much seem the same. On a bigger scale how do these games measure up to each other?

To some extent, all MMOs are going to feel the same. EQ created a formula for success, and then WoW refined it to a science. I think finding an MMO you like (if you're going to like any of them) is, at this point, just a matter of finding the one that has the tweaks you enjoy most.

EVE > All.
My opinion atleast. It's huge, immersive, and well managed both from company and player's sides. It's just too much of a time sink to enjoy fully once you taste their version of 'end game', imo.

Eve isn't a game you can just join anymore though. You'll be lightyears behind anyone anymore, with zero hope of ever contending with 'older' players in pvp.

That's been true for a while, though they have recently made changes to help with that. Skill training times have been greatly reduced from what I hear. Nothing unbalancing ofcourse, but it does help.

I have playd WOW and altho i do like mmo in general i fond this 1 lacking. it has alot of stuff to do and a huge world but in general u need a huge team to do the real mish and get the good gear. as for DC online i find it Greater then COH in a lot of ways but as far as hero making LACKING in the most inportant. in DC i can never make MY hero i have to be a flyer or a speadster or a acrobat. i can never be a Hero i have to be a tank or a Shield or a ranged. in COH this is not the case i have playd it for over 3 ish years now and have never goten bord with it, i have alot of heros some in Super groups. some who are lowners and non of them are greatly stronger the the rest. as for being a "Tank" in COH i find u can be wutever u want if you make the build right. Shure it is far easiear to be a "Tank" with the tank class but if i go Scrapper, Defender or even Blaster i can make a tank with all of them. and with the new end game sistem they are currently doing in COH i find it has opend up even more.
To sum it up.
DC = Far better graphics, and great City and not a fan of DC to begin with but love the look and feel fo the game. but in the end im not a hero in it even if i max my lvl and do my best to be 1 of the 3 classes u have to be i can still get 1 shot by batman. so even as a max lvl hero im still a sidekick. (played sence it came out.)
COH = Far better Hero costimization(in my opinon) City is lacking and story needs some work but was made from scratch. With new end game u can become stronger then the "Real" Heros of COH. Finaly is a great game solo or team, Much faster with a team but i can log on 1once a day every day for 5-10 min and do a mish or 2 every lvl to 50. and still becom a "hero" unlike outher MMO like WOW.

have not played DCU, but love CoH. Best teaming game I've ever played, and a very great group of online people, for the most part.
