Don't call people stpid for having a different opinion than you. Ignore them. You're being very rude. He wasn't calling anyone stupid friend. He was calling the argument stupid. Like brainstem said, this argument just devolves into people yelling at each other, which is, in fact, stupid.

Hey guys, let's not defend me. Even though in this case, you're correct...
You both know I'll call someone stupid at the drop of a hat, and if Captain Newguy wants to play "defender of innocence" (innocence being defined as himself and those he agrees with), let him knock himself out. I've been through this how many times in my tenure on this board? I'm still here. Those people are either gone, or have learned to deal with the way I talk.
There's almost nothing I care less about than the nice guy popularity contest.

And, oh, right... this argument IS stupid. We've been through it... gee, I dunno, a dozen times or more 'round these parts. It never goes anywhere.
Bottom line; if you feel someone is "power gaming" (or whatever name you want to put to it, another thing I'm wildly disinterested in is another semantic argument), don't approve their CADs for your game. It's just that simple. There are games I won't apply for because of who is GMing them or who is playing in them. There are players who, when they express interest in a game, even if I'm interested, I won't apply for that very reason.
The thing that makes this board special is that we can argue, and laugh, and generally do the stuff that friends do without it resulting in full-on board explosions. A lot of the people around here have been here for years, and we love to welcome new guys. That's the appeal of being here. The appeal sure as hell isn't that we always agree on everything (or anything), or that everyone here will be nice to you.
