Nightcrawler is safe, for the present, but Destiny warns Pyro of Storm's approach, so he sends a bird of living fire to meet her! "YEEEOW!" Blob hollers, but the force has not yet been found which can move--or, for that matter, can truly harm--the Blob if he doesn't wish it. Wolverine's attack is an annoyance, nothing more. Nightcrawler's Health: 2/3

Nightcrawler, hoping to use the element of surprise to his advantage, or at least hoping Destiny is distracted as Pyro is dealing with Storm, attacks out of ambush after Destiny.

"I'll get through to ya eventually, fat man!" Wolverine attacked again, this time going for broke, hoping to at least knock Blob unconscious so that he can be taken into custody.

Storm doesn't waver. "A simple trick really. And here's mine." She reached out, and pushed the winds against the flames, forcing them against the user. Either it would defeat the user, or force them to give up the attack. A win win really.

Nightcrawler learns that it is impossible to ambush a precog. "None taken, child," Destiny says before Nightcrawler flattens her.
On the ground, Wolverine discovers that Blob's toughness nullifies his claws' armor penetration. Fred J. Dukes was braced for an attack, but he does appear to have suffered some internal injury. "Look behind you, bright boy," the Blob mutters. Behind Wolverine stands Avalanche, who sends a tidal wave of rock at the Canadian!!!
Up in the sky, Storm blows Pryro's flames back at their manipulator, but St. John Allerdyce uses his own power to prevent them from reaching him on the roof. Storm and Pyro are now locked in a battle of wills with a fiery inferno between them. May the better mutant win! Nightcrawler's Health: 2/3

Nightcrawler, seeing Pyro still distracted dealing with Storm, sees this as an opportunity he can't miss. BAMFing over, he tries to clock Pyro in the back of the head!

"I am not sure if you have heard fatboy, but I am the best at what I do and what I do isn't pretty" Wolverine growls as he leaps at the Blob once again but at the last minute he dives low, aiming to dig his claws deep into the Blob's knees as he slides behind him on the ground. Wolverine is also counting on Avalanche taking another shot and hitting Blob instead..
*Lets see if tubby here can stand with his knee gone*

Storm focused her power, trying to continue battle. But she couldn't do this forever. She had to think of an alternative. She was running low on power. What could she do? Redirect it else...that was it! Pyro might be able to stop an attack on himself easily, but he couldn't do that with an attack on someone else. She landed, and focused all her winds to redirect the assault...on Avalanche.

Nightcrawler clocks Pyro, giving Storm the break she needs to blow his flames toward Avalanche.
Wolverine senses a fatty kneecap cracks beneath the power of his adamantium claws, prompting Blob to surrender. "Hey, I give up."

Wolverine growls in angry and tried to shake of his battle rage as he is standing over the now prone Blob. He retracts is claws and slowly steps away from the Blob.
"Ya, you may be right but it does not mean we should always follow that rule. Some creatures are just two dangerous to live bub." Wolverine sighs as he feels his healing factor kick in.
"So, what do we need to do?" Wolverine asks.

Blob's taking defeat awfully well. This was too easy--almost as if The Brotherhood did not care about the outcome.

"What is going on Blob? Why are you surrendering this easily? The Brotherhood usually puts up more of a fight than this."
