Basic Types of Magic
There are three basic types of magic distinguished by anthropologists:
1.Homeopathic Magic
Homeopathic Magic is based on the assumption that like produces like. It means that if some form of action is performed on something, it will have a same impact on the intended real thing.
2.Sympathetic Magic or Imitative Magic
Sympathetic Magic on the core principle that if it is performed on some object(s), the same would happen to the person or object which is under influence. The relation is made between the objects based on the presumption that one can influence something based on the attachment.
3.Contagious Magic
Contagious magic supports the notion that if a person has contact with certain things, they will influence the person who is under contact with those things. The most common example of this type of magic can be seen in use of voodoo dolls. Voodoo dolls are attached with a part of fingernails, hair or teeth of the targeted person. The voodoo doll, then is assumed to be the person himself and it can be used of to hurt the victim. This type of magic falls under black magic, since it is practiced to cause harm or injury to others.

New Magic Restricton NO magical action can get to max lvl(in my games 10) as u can not truly master magic.
MOM has same cost but depend on the lvl of it u will get free stones for effect into you outhe rmagical actions. For magical lurning you would get half your MOM for psitive mod e.g even with out generl knolage in magic the the MOM of 3 u knoe efouf your self to get over Diff of 1or less but with general knolage of 2 ull have the d of 3. same for fighting if a lvl 9 MOM is vs a lvl 6-8 he will get a +2 sit advantge and a +3 vs a lvl 1-3 MOM as he knoes more.
MOM: # for traning or advantage.
AN 3 = Aprentace/Student: 2 Free stones for creation
AN 6 = Mage/Witch/Sorceror: 3 Free stonesfor creation
AN 9 = Maste Mage/Sorseror supream/ect: 4 Free stones for creation
Magic Fees:
3 stones (making it up on the spot)
2 stones (it is a spell u know and is in you spell Book(loe)
1 sont (Beyond Masterd in LOe and used it over 50 to 100 times (gm discrestion when it is truly masterd) alway a 1 stone cost in magic even if you grand magic guy u will pay the 1 stone)
(How Free Magic D would work.)Two characters who are Magicly fighting can attempt to attack or otherwise affect each outher, If one character has a higher MOM AN than the other, they gain free stones of defense equal to the difference between their ANs.
Been thinking of a int bonous of +3 or +4 insted of 5 as u cant rilly get a wep mod.
rest would be the same.
Sorcery, Would still wrok kinda the same way but would have to play for actions and effec to pritty much eveyrthing in stones.
so e.g
sorcery of 6 with mom of 3 and int of 4 (bought int bonous) toat of 12.(6sor +2free form mom +4 int=12)
so will say this magician want to shoot a magic blast(forceblast) he need 1 stone for action (forceblast) 1 stone for AN(max of his Sosery+MOM(using mom will take a panel will explane this later)
then added +for advantegs( if he want it to have 2x he need to add +2 stons the cost of a 2x advantage) that ending his force blast(cost so far 4stones) and he has his Magic blast of 6 with x2 now he can use
the rest of his energy up to 6 to blast it but has to pay the magic fee of making up the speel on the spot of 3. so the toatl cost of his blas is 13 (4 cost to make+6 stone for blast+3magic fee ) so he cant fire the full power blast of 6 as he only had 12 stones so he will have to fire the blast of 5 not 6.
another e.g this time he want to do a magical barrier so agin the same formula for 12(6AN+3MOMfree+4int) then the Barrior(force-field) option 1stone AN of 6(max to Sorc) and advantage of Null armor pen 0(free option)
for the cost of 2(1.action+1.6lvl of action+0.Advanteg cost) with the Magic fee of 3(made up on the spot) for this action Magic Barrier: 6-nul armor pen the final toatl being 11. (2+3+6) with 1 stone to spare maby fir a effect like duration or range he will have the barrior or 6 with null armor pen
e.g 3. will go with a more tricky 1
this time he want to make a worm a snake so agin he has the max of 12 stones to use.
1 stone for action (Metamorphosis) 1 for an #6(lvl of Sorcery) and final advantge cost of 0(+2.x2 -2.only into 1 thing) and final spell fee 3
toatl for action 5(1+1+0+3) then would simply us metimorpeses on the worm to make it a snake(gm discrestion on if he need to put in more for range I count all magical action having defult range of 3 paying more only if they go over that)
altho u will have to keep the 1 to maintain to keep the worm a snake or put in stones for duration or it would chang right back next panel.
so MOM to action alow u to increas your spell powe by your MOM an so where so far he has had only 12 stones of use for magic with the MOM rule hw ouls get 15(6Sor+2Freefrommom+4int+3MOM) this alllows u to combie you MOM with acion without taking up 2 action or a free action but with some weakness. and finaly allows u to get stronger AN of 1/2 you mom round down so the forceblast of 6(your sorcery AN) can now be the forceblast of 7(6sorcsry+1. 1/2 mom round down)
The wekneses of combining being:
1. same rule of 6 u can not add more then 6 stones form you MOM so if u got the MOM of 7 you would not get +7 to the action only 6 so u can not ge tto much extra energy from it but can still boost you AN to a max of +4(1/2.9mom round down)
2. your action will alway be the last action of the panel altho it will not take u a full panel of prep it will take u a large amout of time to gather the extra magic
3. Any stone for duration or range are cut in half so if you tring to boost the power to last longer or go farther pritty much a waste of time altho u will get a stonger power i.e more stones for creation u dont have the actual power or knollage to use the spell right
the same rule would applie to all other magical action if tested the formula so far and has worked out pritty good in my groups, any queston of holes i left would be good or if u find a magical action this huts to much or does not rilly effect plz post.
p.s idk if i mentond this but magic AN or limetd to 9 but the Magic ation they make are not so if i want the Forceblast of 11 i would need to do normal way to make it a 6(my sorcery lvl) of 1 stone then 1 more stone for each lvl i want up so toatl of 6stones for the forceblast of 11(1sorAN+6diff of lvl) clerly combining with your MOM woud make it far cheaper to get increas the AN then teh stones but then u got the limits.
