Under agility it states that it can modify the Close Combat action in some circumstances. What would be those circumstances that would allow for Agility to modify close combat?
For example, say you were fighting with a weapon and instead of attacking, you wanted to do a riposte. Would that allow the action to be modified by the agility?
For those who don't know, a riposte is a maneuver that turns the melee or hth attack back onto the attacker.

The Errata said that the words "a Modifier" in that paragraph should be changed to "an Ability Bonus".

That doesn't answer my question regarding agility.

Nope. There isnt a counterattack manouver unless you buy a specified action. Which IMO, is another flaw of MURPG.

Which is where Personalized Actions come in, then.
But it is confusing because it does say under Agility that Agility is most often used as a modifier for actions such as Acrobatics, Close Combat, Wall Crawling and Web-Slinging.
So maybe we can use this thread to come up with ways that this can happen.

The Errata said that the words "a Modifier" in that paragraph should be changed to "an Ability Bonus". That answers your question. Agility's primary use, beyond determining Initiative, is as an Ability Modifier to Close Combat. You could use it however you deem sensible, but remember that you can only stack this with a Weapon Modifier if you pay the extra at creation. Basically, with your example, if you're fencing and you want to execute a riposte strike, you would use your Agility Bonus instead of your Weapon Modifier to add to your Close Combat Attack/Defense split (since that's about how a riposte would be handled).
