From across the street, Wolverine and Carol Danvers watch the flying car land right outside the Avengers Mansion. Thing of the Fantastic Four and Nick Fury exit the vehicle. The last time Logan saw Fury was years ago in Vladivostok, just before Nick got tapped to take over S.H.I.E.L.D. (Supreme Headquarters Intelligence Espionage Law-enforcement Division). As Thing and Fury reach the entrance to the mansion, a machine outside calls, "Attention! You are in violation of the Avengers security zone! Identify yourselves and state your business, please, or appropriate counter-measures will be initiated."“They’re sure feelin’ hospitable!” Ben grumps. Fury tells him to ease off and reminds him the Avengers are a prime target. “And the F. F. ain't?” Ben snaps back. “It pays to be careful,” Fury insists. Exhibiting his S.H.I.E.L.D. priority I.D. for the robot, Wolverine's old friend identifies himself and the Thing as Colonel Nicholas Fury and Ben Grimm. They’re expected, so robot grants them access. “Identity confirmed. You may enter.”"From the sound of it, they've improved security since my last visit," Carol deduces. Danvers hasn't been back to the Avenger's Mansion since losing her Ms. Marvel superpowers and memories to Rogue. Only recently had Xavier restored Carol's memories. After regaining her memories, Carol realized that one thing she missed about being Ms. Marvel was playing in the most notorious floating poker game in New York. So, Carol Danvers and Wolverine drop by the Avengers Mansion for a night of poker with the team. "Fury and Grimm were the last." Carol notes. "Everyone's inside."It was Major Danvers who taught Logan how to play poker in Tokyo, when they were known as the Team Supreme. The safe--or fortress--ain't been built that they can't crack. So, what are they waiting for? OOC: I propose two game mechanic options for this thread. If you want to play with MURPG rules, then Wolverine can allocate some stones to do something. (Wolverine starts at his full 15 Energy) If you want to play with DC Adventures rules, then Wolverine can roll a skill check for actions instead. (Please use the dice feature for rolling)
The game system that will be used for this thread is the payer's choice.
Choose wisely.

((I'll use MURPG for now; Ain't gotta clue as to how to use the Dice Feature..........))
Logan smirked as he saw his old friend Nick get out of the flying car. He hadn't seen old Fury in........well, ages, it felt like. His smirk turned to an amused grin as The Thing stepped out as well.
"I didn't know those flyin' deathtraps could even carry the boulder's weight. Fury's done gotten himself some impressive gear," Logan mused out loud. He glanced over at the other old friend of his, Major Carol Danvers.
He offered her his arm. "Well, shall we, darlin'? Let's take Grimm and Fury's money." And with that, he walked into Avengers Mansion with Carol in tow.

BING BONG"...I hardly expected to see you again, especially here." Jarvis confesses. "Time, as they say, heals all wounds. Besides, I missed the game." "If you don't mind, I brought a friend," Carol says, introducing Logan. "You're both most welcome. Do come in."Wolverine's Health: 5/5 Wolverine's Energy: 15/15

Logan grinned at the obviously flustered butler, his pronounced canines, though useless in a superhero battle, still making him look quite animistic. He reaches out to shake Jarvis's hand.
"Pleasure, Jeeves. Ya got a good domestic beer in this swank place?" Of course, even someone like Jarvis would tower over Logan, but Logan didn't seem to care. In fact, he looked as though he could terrorize a tyrannosaurus rex.

"...and went by the name, Ms. Marvel!"The most notorious floating poker game in New York is attended by former Avengers Hank McCoy and Simon Williams (The Beast and Wonder Man, respectively); plus Ben Grimm of the Fantastic Four; Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD; and Manhattan District Attorney Blake Tower. No one seems to have noticed Logan yet, but Wolverine's Animal Senses are so keen that they even detect that Colonel Fury's stogie's cold. Wolverine's Health: 5/5 Wolverine's Energy: 15/15

Logan gave an almost inaudible grunt as he pulled out a stogie and lit it with his zippo. After taking a few puffs to get it nice and lit, he grinned over in Fury's direction.
"Hey, Colonel, your smoke's cold. Need a light, old buddy?" He asked as he tossed the lighter to Nick Fury. He looked around at the others assembled for the poker game and grinned.
"C'mon, bub, you're not afraid of a bit of friendly competition are ya?" This comment was directed at everyone, really, but his gaze lingered on Ben Grimm, almost as if it was supposed to be directed at him.......

"Logan?!" Nicholas exclaims, catching the lighter. "It's been years! When was the last time...?" Fury reaches around to shake Wolverine's hand. Wolverine's Health: 5/5 Wolverine's Energy: 15/15

Logan reached out to shake Fury's hand.
"I'm not too sure, Nick, my memory isn't quite what it used to be," Logan answered as he pulled him into a half-hug and patted him on the back a couple of times. He released Fury and smiled bright around the room. "so, what's the game? Texas Hold-Em, Five Card Stud, Mexican Sweat; I'm up for anything, as long as I'm taking your money."

Logan accepted his cards with a small, almost imperceptible grunt. It appeared Texas Hold-Em was on the docket for tonight, probably due to the number of players at the table. so far, he had what might turn out to be a decent hand, so he anted up.
"If this is gonna be a long night, at least some of the company is good. How's things been goin' Hank? We haven't seen each other in a bit."
+++++ First Action: 4 stones total, 3 from Intelligence, and 1 from Gambling. Second Action: 4 stones to Social Skills, mostly as a distraction directed at Beast.
Health: 5/5 Energy: 7/15
