Oh wait - from that picture - Whizzer and Miss America? That'd be Marvel then

Marvel. Another option is that I may translate the adventure I have for use with unique heroes. I may even be able to rename the super villains for a non Marvel or DC game. I'm reviewing my adventure to determine if that looks like something i want to do.

I've been behind on my posting for existing games, so I haven't had a chance to start a new one. Now I also have Marvel Heroic and am easger to play that too. So many games, so little time.

True, what do you think of the new Marvel? I got my copy finally (they forget about me, lol).

Got mine too. I was expecting it in the Summer though, so it's kind of a bonus, even if I can't make sense of the game after looking through the PDF. BASH Ultimate looks a more traditional kind of RPG, and maybe better suited to play by post. If I weren't running a long term campaign I'd offer to run a game. Might still find time at some point, but at the moment, am swamped

I'm still reading the Marvel Heroic rules and there are things I like about it and things I don't like about it. I read the BASH! manual and there are some things I'm a bit fuzzy on, but overall it seems workable. I'm also playing DC Heroes with roxolid, so I'm getting a little bit of rules overkill confusion in my brain with MURPG also floating around in there. (Plus I convert stats from the MSHRPG for the Daily Bugle.)
I'm also reading up on how to DM D&D 4.0.
As I said before... so many games so little time.

Know how you feel. I'm writing a Tunnels & Trolls/Basic D&D inspired retro clone (currently deep into the skills section), DC Heroes clone without the tables and MURPG 'fixed'. I got so far in each, then night shifts at work more or less sapped my will to live. Anything left is sapped by running around after an 8 year old and a 2 year old. It's bloody exhausting!
On my list o rules to read/games to play:
Middle Earth Roleplaying - without middle earth, just a generic fantasy world Legend (Runequest II) - available as pdf for $1 from Drive thru BASH! Ultimate edition Icons Mutants and Masterminds - not sure on which version. Whichever I can make a character fastest in. Marvel Superheroes (Saga version. with cards). I think this would play great online, though would need a little bit of work with the scanner. Pictures would brighten up the game thread no end though, makes a change from walls of text!
But yeah, I hear ya. Time... not enough...

If you make some 25 point heroes with BASH! maybe the characters will inspire me. I'm thinking a brand new world like the real world for this one. So please be creative in how your heroes became super.

I was thinking a straight up Brawn 5, Agility 5, Mind 2, Jumping brick type fellow. (25 points). Need to read the rules better to get best bang for buck and a bit more variety, but I just want to confirm something - skills are free, right? You get 1 skill per point of Agility or Mind, yeah? I'll have a play about at some point today and get something cooked up. Either a jumping brick type (who looks nothing like a jumping brick should do) or some flying blasting type fellow, or maybe a jumping bouncing flea type character, as I haven't run a jumping bouncing Mighty Flea! in BASH before (but every other game? Just about..)

+1 for the flying blaster fellow. The skills are free as you said. You know, you could model your character after the greatest super hero of all, the tick!

For any rules I'd like to start with rules as written. It looks like we'll be starting with a buddy-team up game so I'll probably start in the One-Shot forum. My plan is still to make the world earth today with nothing to make it Marvel or DC and I'll aklso try not to do anything to make it absolutely not marvel or DC. Not sure how, but I'll try.
roxolid - Please send me a character.
shenron - Please define your character's home dimension/planet a bit more. Currently, I'd prefer for him just to be from another planet...not another dimension.
