Personally, I vote Havok.
The guy was a complete mess.
1) Somehow Cyclop's brother (i guess) despite being only a couple years younger than Xavier.
2) As Someone else put it laser hula-hoop

Deadpool is a pretty glaring omission from the list.
It's really hard to pick just one, though.

Cyclops is really whiny and such a wet fart that it was hard to like him. You just wanna smack him around the face and tell him to grow a pair. Saying that, the actor that played him more or less didn't want to be there from what I gather when he realised the films were all about Wolverine and a little bit about some other guys in black leather. I'm unsure whether Halle Berry could act her way out of a wet paper bag, Vinnie Jones was there for... wait a minute. Why was he there again? The mish mash of characters who shouldn't be students (Iceman, Colossus) and instead should have been in first class (and vice versa) made a mess of continuity that any new franchise reboot will find it hard to overcome, because anyone who saw these movies will be confused if Beast, Iceman, Angel, Cyclops and Jean Grey are in first class, like they were supposed to be. Ah well, whatever. That's hollywood for ya. *shrug*

I really liked Cyclops in the first X-Men. He had the balls to stand up to Wolverine.

I liked Cyclops in the first film, too, and he sort of became a tertiary character (at best) in the second film. I do not recall any third film being made nope I do not LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.
As for the rest of the original trilogy cast: Storm was awfully cast. Just awwwwful. Jean was bland, but likeable. Iceman was too young. Wolverine was too likeable, but I liked him anyway because he was too likeable. ^__^ Sabretooth wasn't threatening enough. I was pretty okay with Toad, I guess. Mystique was great, especially in X2. Magneto and Xavier were fantastic, naturally. X3 was a train wreck.
As for Wolverine: everyone was just bloody awful. Wade Wilson was at least amusing in his early scenes, but I despised everything else they did with every character. Ugh.
First Class: I enjoyed young Charles well enough. Darwin was at least likeable. Every other portrayal was crap and I thoroughly hated the whole movie.

I really liked Cyclops in the first X-Men. He had the balls to stand up to Wolverine. The first one was also much more of an ensemble piece than what we get by the third.

Also, when voting for Cyclops, I also made a point not to vote for anybody that really wasn't given a chance to develop poorly. Havok, for example, while not very well executed, wasn't developed poorly as opposed to being implemented poorly. The character of Havok wasn't really shat upon since he didn't get enough of a chance to be fucked up.

IMO, Havok wasn't a character. He was a prop. He was introduced, he had a few lines of dialogue, he had a terrible special effect. That's it.
In fact, one of the basic failures of First Class was that they had so many characters, most of whom didn't matter at all.
