What are some of your favorite fights in an RPG?
I remember fighting against a zombie Hulk as Blade and bouncing a stake off of his head when I tried to shoot him. Bullseey had to step in and throw toothpicks around his eyes to blind the pissed off green guy.

A few years ago a buddy of mine was running a d&d campaign for us. As one of the more experienced of the group, I chose to party's spellcaster. So one day he decided to make us all run a gauntlet of mostly physical challenges, which I should have been at a disadvantage to. But I was a sorcerer and not a wizard so I could use any of my spells without having to prepare specific ones. Using a combination of haste and spider climb, I soon found myself leagues ahead of my friends which was good considering it was a competition. He thought he'd slow me down by putting about 20 weak goblins ahead of me, but without breaking my stride I launched a fireball right into the center of the group and killed every single one of them. I got an enchanted katana for my efforts.

I wasn't in this one but I still bring it up occasionally; in Victoriana my friend the dwarven pacifist yogi killed an angel, snapped the knife keeping his physical vessel here. After that my character was scared of him, which was ironic seeing as I was a Garudi Thuggee who had earned the titles "Terror of Deli" and "Beast of India"
Another was in the "Liberty Legionnaire" when we fought against the horsemen of apocalypse I being a doctor of course got death...managed to stave him off long enough to shove him on a rocket and shoot him into space. Also fought alien robot jazz band members...Axis supersoldiers, a giant robot on a blimp, nazis with jetpacks while on the wing of a plane, a very high tech gang of bankrobbers, and some of my own teammates, also nagged the actual death because when I had close death experiences I saw them as sitting in a waiting room.

I have this one game Im still running thats had quite a few memorable fights, but one of my favorites is when my group came up against the Rhino
We had this one guy who has powers similiar to Debrii in that he sort of had a gravitational field around him that allowed him to metamorph with particles and objects around him. SO he metamorphs a car into armor, or "Carmor" as we began to call it, complete with roaring engines when he charged and a honkinh horn.
Anywho, he's going tit for tat with the Rhino which is no small task, but eventually Rhino has his arms locked.
So my player ejects himself from his Carmor, flying forward and punching out Rhino in a glorious splash page that everyone in the group doing a collective oooh which was then followed by grats and high fives.

I've mentioned this a few times over the years here, but it still stands out.
I got my start gaming through Star Wars d20 and, GMing a game of RCR, I had the most intense battle between my players. There was this Sith Lord running around being a monster (so I had this hook I liked of having a Dark Jedi find a Sith Holocron and creating his own Sith Order as an excuse for doing whateverthefuck I want with continuity); he beat the PULP out of one of the PCs and was about to kill him off, but I decided to have him spend the turn doing the whole "Join the Dark Side, you'd be a powerful ally" etc etc speech. On the Jedi's turn, he rolls TWO crits in a row. If you remember RCR, critical hits go straight to wounds and lightsabers did stupid damage. The Sith was absolutely decimated and we all just had this huge look of "Wow did that REALLY just happen?!" on our faces. Priceless.
Also, last summer in a 4E game, one of my players was Bull Rushed down a pit into the final boss room. By himself. With 1 HP after the falling damage. He managed to not-die down there long enough for the rest of the players to mop up what was left and jump down after him. Healed up, he went straight for the boss and wound up being sucked into a portal to some other realm (instant death technically, but it's D&D logic here), but not before beating the TAR out of the guy and leaving him barely alive. They still talk about it today, actually, although they seem to think they lost the battle even though they won?
The same group, a few sessions before, had a battle that was a bit more hilarious than this one. They were in a room that had a tapestry blocking off a path. They spent so much of the fight with their strongman tank (the same one that fell down the hole, actually) trying to rip it from the ceiling and failing that the Avenger decided to just charge through it, using the two moves that it takes to get from one side to the other. With all the noise they would have made, I had the Goblins on the other side ready attacks for the people that walked through. A similar thing happened where the strongman tank couldn't kick a door down after trying multiple times yet the Bard managed to do it in one shot. Again, with all the noise, the monsters on the other side were ready and blasted him to oblivion. Not much of a fight, but a moment they never stop bringing up.

Was that the "All this and World War II" game? With the Liberty Legion and your character was a crazy/tall/thin Doctor guy with a paper bag or something similar as a mask? If not, I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I was the GM for that game until real life pressures dragged me away from the board. If I recall, there was a final fight coming up between good and evil... and I couldn't find time to finish the darn thing off. Real life does that sometimes

OMG yeah, that game is my most loved campaign of any system and I'd love to thank you for that. I knew real life had taken center stage when it ended, and honestly it's okay it happens, personally I loved how it ended on a cliffhanger like that.

Nazi's with jetpacks? Nice.. Reminds me of that new movie, I forget the name but it features nazis attacking earth from a moon base or something.

Iron Sky, I nearly died because I forgot the wings on the plane were in front of the door not behind but managed to grab them regardless, he had to show me a picture and I freaked out. Course I didn't do much because all I had were a couple scalpels and well they weren't moving slow enough for them to hit.
