I've watched The Force Awakens three times. I enjoy it, but I also feel that it's trying to be too much like A New Hope. A droid carrying important information on a desert planet just happens to find people who will help instead of scrapping it for parts, or erasing the data and trying to forget...
There's also some bad science, and a lot that I'd like to have explained, but perhaps the explanations will be in another movie. I think I'll stop there, since I don't know how to hide spoiler text.

As someone who was young enough to watch the original trilogy as a kid but not grow up as they were coming out they don't hold as much sentiment to me as they do to others, but I'd have to agree that The Force Awakens was a great film, and it borrowed alot, I mean alot from the previous films, but had just enough new elements to keep things fresh.

We have a Rogue One trailer, and it looks exciting and promising. Loved it.

That looks way better than I expected it to be. Seems to be catering to the dystopian-young-adult-fiction (think Hunger Games, Divergent, etc) but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Also, I'll watch almost anything with Donnie Yen and/or Alan Tudyk, so I'm on board.

THAT.
Yes.
That trailer alone has renewed my optimism and inspired a New Hope...

Watched Rogue One last night and even if it has a somewhat rocky start it's a really good movie.

Saw it twice this weekend. Once in 4DX (eh, was a work function) and once in the traditional manner.
I loved it. Sure it rushed headlong in, but... It worked.

I felt a great disturbance in The Force today.
RIP Carrie Fisher.

I'll just say that while I loved The Last Jedi despite a few troubles, some of my friends hated it despite a few good things, so it's a pretty divisive movie.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but the same exact thing. "Hated it, besides some really good parts. Or: Loved it, despite some pretty bad parts." I'm on the side that enjoyed it, despite absolutely hating SOME parts.
