This one's just in the concept stages: Midas Mulligan Image thanks to League of Legends. Midas has obtained a magical deck of cards, or manifests his powers through a deck of cards. Something like that. Equipment: Mythic Tarot Deck These mystical cards are constantly shuffling themselves at an alarming rate. They come in a red and blue variety; red for attacking, blue for defending. Normally Midas isn't able to select between the two, however with concentration he's able to pluck the right color at the right time. Red Actions Force Blast: 5 Drain Energy: 4 Drain Health: 2 Blue Actions Force Field: 5 (5 total, not 10) Restore Energy: 4 Restore Health: 2 Each of these are combined with the following advantages or disadvantages to make a 54-card deck (ie, 1 card might be "Force Blast that takes 1 turn to prepare"): Armor penetration Area of effect 2x damage Increased range: 2 Elemental 1 Target Automatically causes collateral damage Takes extra time to prepare (1 turn) Others not shielded from power By spending 5 energy, Midas can take a mulligan, allowing him to nullify the card he's just drawn, reshufle and draw another.

At first, there were experiments made on the alien ship; these are widely known, though generally dismissed by the public. Next, experiments were performed on the extraterrestrial itself. These were classified, but still the information was leaked. Finally, in 1993, the DNA of the dying alien was extracted and spliced with the DNA of a child. Bit Rayburn is the product of those experiments. While in the womb, Bit was injected with the alien's cells and grown according to exact specifications. His childhood was closely monitored by scientists and the military; he was trained and educated in top military schools around the country. At first, he was unaware that he was genetically bonded with the now-dead alien that crash landed back in the 40s. It wasn't until he was 8 that he began to suspect he was abnormal. The military treated him differently than they did the rest of the schoolchildren. No one else had to endure hours of boring, painful tests every month. His mother and father didn't like Bit as much as they did his younger brother, and Bit knew it. Most of all, the other girls and boys had "grown out" of their relationships with their imaginary friends; Xen, Bit's unseen friend, had always been quite real to him. It wasn't the same kind of thing that he did while he played with his toys, where he used his imagination and did all the thinking himself. His relationship with Xen was completely different. Sometimes Xen would come into class and sit next to him, unbeknownst to the rest of his classmates and completely unsummoned by Bit. It wasn't like Xen was just another toy; he had a personality all his own. At age 13, Bit began to develop amazing powers. One day, he was typing a report for school and looked down to realize that his hands weren't touching the keyboard. He was immediately interested in this new power, so he set out to learn how to interface with computers, electronics, and gadgets. While working on his power in secret so the experimenters wouldn't find out, he stumbled upon an entirely new ability: the ability to create magnetic fields. He was excited about this power too and began using it right away, but in his haste he slipped up and one of his watchdogs found out and reported it. Afterward, the experiments became more intense and frequent. Up until then, Xen had been content to sit and watch through Bit's eyes. But one day, a scientist stumbled upon an area of Bit's brain that had been sectioned off from the rest of it - Xen's "island," as he called it. Xen had had enough and psionically lashed out at the experimenters, killing all but one and leaving the last in a coma. Bit awoke in the lab after several hours and ran home. He noticed his newfound ability to perform telepathy days afterward. The scientists haven't been keen on performing experiments since the incident. Now, at age 17, Bit is due to go through officer training school for a special military program. Unbeknownst to Bit or the scientists involved in the experiments, the alien which landed back in 1942 was part of a species that is psionically immortal, migrating between soulless husks through the same transfusion that was given to Bit. In effect, both Bit's soul as well as the alien's - Xen's - resides within Bit's body. And Xen has used his psychic connection with his home planet to call for help. After 17 years of travel, an alien warship has nearly arrived on Earth.

Light Armor +1 Orion may don heavier armor for tournaments or on mounts, but it tends to interfere with his swordplay. ---------- STONE COUNT ---------- Base: 20 Conflicting Interests (+2) -Torn between allegiances to Besigny and the larger forces at hand. Code of Knighthood (+2) -As a Besignian knight in training, Orion must adhere to a rigid code of honor and chivalry. Tainted Blood (+2) -Orion and his forefathers bear the Dragon’s Mark, a tear-shaped tattoo-like birthmark on their face. As such, Orion and his family has been ostracized by his community. Most travelers tend to be suspicious of him. Tendency to Stick Up for Underdog (+1) -Training to become a Besignian knight, Orion is duty-bound to promote justice whenever possible. Beyond this, however, is his memory of village children picking on him when he was younger. He sympathizes with the downtrodden and compulsively defends them. Illiterate (+1) -Growing up on a farm, literacy was not a priority. Haunted Past (+2) -Village was raided by bandits; brothers were killed Total: 30 ---------- BACKGROUND ---------- Orion grew up on a farm on the outskirts of a Besignian village. As a male Alaraph, he was born with the Dragon’s Mark, a red teardrop running from above his eyebrow down to his cheek. There were many rumors of the origin of that mark; many villagers believed the family was descended from half-breed dragons or worshipped the beasts. The truth has been lost to time, but Orion certainly never worshiped any dragons or such a thing. But the villagers refused to believe that, and picked on him relentlessly as he grew up. At 17, Orion’s village was attacked by a band of raiders. They stole and burned what they could, slaughtered or enslaved many of the townspeople, including Orion’s father, before leaving. When the fires faded, all that was left was an empty shell of a village. Orion left, taking with him an heirloom sword, to become a squire of Besigny and make sure no one else suffered the same fate as his family.
