Fiery: 5w. Chandra, like all those allied with Red, is passionate, and likes following her own path. Course, this causes her no end of trouble, and she has a real short fuse for being ordered around. Once she sets a course, she'll do it, no matter the consequences.
Freedom Fighter: 3w. Chandra HATES being ordered around. Given her past, she hates restrictions, rules, and limits. She won't go out of her way to break the law, but if a law restricts her, she won't hesitate to break it. And if she can show up a couple annoying buerecrats in the process, all the better.
Haunted Past: 2w. Her family wanted to marry her off to get her to stop using her pyromancy powers. She launched a fireball that badly burned the village and ran away. When she returned, she found a group of soldiers had attacked the town, trapped the villagers, and was burning them alive in their own homes. Chandra herself was almost beheaded, but managed to ascend in time. This incident still bothers her to this day, but she's been able to move past it some.
Chandra was born on an as of yet unnamed plane, with a "mother who was strict, father who was gentle, two sisters who [she] hated, and an older brother who she adored" in her own words. Her brother was killed in a war at some point. As she grew older, Chandra began to practice and play with her fire abilities, which came to her as naturally as breathing, more and more. However, on her home plane, fire magic was strictly banned, and her parents pursued many ends in an attempt to "cure" their daughter of her wild streak. Believing that "a husband and children would do her good," they planned to marry her to one of the local boys. In an attempt to scare off both her parents and her prospective husband, she set off a huge blast of fire that caught several of the village huts on fire, and then ran to the mountains. In her absence, the police of a temple on her plane rounded up the village, believing the people of the village to be a group of fire magic practicing rebels, as they did not believe that one person could cause such destruction. They placed the villagers into the burning huts where they were to be burned to death. Chandra returned in time to see her family burned, her mother crying for her daughters to be released, and fought against the soldiers until the entire village had burned to death, at which point she surrendered. She was forced onto her knees, head held back, and a blade swung to her throat, her punishment immediate execution.
Chandra later steals a scroll from a museum, and using her powers, escaped. But she was hunted down by Jace Beleren, and her mind wiped of what was on it. But not before she had already handed it over to scribes for copying.
After attempting to retake the scroll, Chandra encountered fellow Planeswalker Gideon Jura, who handed her over to a group of soldiers. She escaped, and landed in a plane of absolute darkness. Gideon followed, and together they escaped, and freed the plane, but she and Gideon were captured, and Gideon tortured. She agreed to submit to execution if he was let go, but her captors had a better idea, they would use the Puryfiying Flame to purify her and make her what they wanted, a fate Chandra considered worse than death. That night, Chandra and Gideon talked, and Gideon said she could escape by puifying herself, so she could master the flames. She told him what happened to her family, and admitted she felt better. When exposed to the flames, she countered the fire, mastered it, and destroyed the organization. When Gideon expressed regret so many had died, she said she had no sympathy, and revealed a detail she'd left out...the mission of the soldiers that had attacked her home. Peace, justice, and obediance....the same goals of the organization Gideon belonged to. It had been his group that had killed her family. She said that anyone who wouldn't let her go, that continued to pursue her, would suffer the same fate.
