Intuitive Talent
COST: Action Number+5 levels plus options.
DESCRIPTION: This modifier allows free stones for characters that seem to find some skills almost effortless. The stones from the general pool can be used in conjunction with the skills listed in the options. Should the character have two options or more, and use them both in the panel, the stones may be reused.
Rules:
-The Modifier for the options listed can only be added if stones are invested into the corresponding Action
-The Option may not be bought for actions with a lower AN than 5
EXAMPLE: Vargas has Close Combat 8, with an Energy Sword of +3, a Reflexive Dodge of+2 and an Intuitive Talent of +2, with an option of Close Combat. On top of this he has a durability of 4 and is at full strength. Attacking a team of weakened X-Men, Vargas finds himself about to be attacked by a 4 stone Force Blast from Cyclops, a 4 stone kick from Rogue, and a 3 stone Charge Objects+Ranged Combat from Gambit.
Putting 4 stones into Close Combat defense, combined with defense from his reflexive dodge, sword, and talent, Vargas parries and dodges the 11 stone attack, finding himself fully charged next panel. Unfortunately, Vargas also put 4 stones into his Close Combat to attack Gambit with, and knocks the Cajun out cold.
Regenerating 4 stones, Vargas is on 8/12 and is looking good against the X-Men.
EXAMPLE 2: Yukio has Black Ops 6 and Ninja 7, with an Intuitive Talent of 2 with both as options. She slips into her quarys home, which as cameras and such that require a resistance to detection of 3. However, to Yukio, that is nothing. The guard might cause problems though. However, Yukio puts 1 into Black Ops and 2 into Close Combat. Due to her Intuitive Talent, she almost instintively knows the wirr of the camera, the clues for a trap, and the best place to cut a man and keep him down. Her 2 stone attack against the guard, plus 2 from ITalent and 2 from her weapon make sure the kill is quick, and undetected.
"Gotcha"
Fully replenished after 1 panel, the night hasnt even begun for Yukio.
This should be encouraged more for solo play, or NPCs. This is for the lone ninja or vigilante that can take on a team of characters and hold their own.
