How much do you think a Rage ability like the one Hulk posesses should cost?
Has someone already priced this out in previous threads?

I dont think so... But lets see: * It gives strength every 3 panel * The strength it gives can exceed the characters max * There is a max to how much the rage can boost (with hulk 18) * To get the extra strength, the character must go "berserk"
Know lets play with cost levels: * Each: 4 panel (+2), Each 3 Panel (+3), Each 2 Panel (+4) each panel (+5) * Max 2 more than normal (+0), max 4 more than normal (+2) max 6 more than normal (+4), ect...
Or thats kinda how i would do it... There could also be some disadvantages besides the rage/berserker thing part.

Is that on the top of the Strength cost level do you think? or could you instead say but Rage as a modifier so it might look like this;
Rage Cost= Modifier Number+Special The character has an unnatural rage, so unnatural it even makes them much stronger, increasing based on their anger. Your Strength score increases by 1 at set intervals while you are raging up to a maximum of the Modifier Number+ your Strength.
Options: Increase once; Every 4 panels +2 cost levels Every 3 panels +3 cost levels Every 2 panels +4 cost levels Every panel +5 cost levels (note you must choose a duration)
Example: Crusher has a Strength score of 5 and he bought Rage at 5, he comes across his arch-nemeses the X-Men and flies into a rage at seeing them, now the GM might insist he attacks until one of his teammates calms him down or until a time in which he finally realises he can stop crushing but until then every panel (he bought the every panel option) Crusher's Strength increases by 1 until it hits his upper limit of 10 (5 Strength+5 Modifier).
Notes: This can be a powerful and destructive power, especially if bought with a high modifier number and the every panel option, however beware the faster your strength increases the more likely your GM is to force you to carry on raging until calmed down, of course until then you get to smash, bash and crash all you like.

Much better idea with a modifier... Why dident i think of that But buying the modifier should be cheaper than buying Strength at 10 (Since he has to run amok to use it and the strength isent always at 10). So fare Crushers Rage costs 15 stones, and when at full rage, he has a strength at 10. This have cost him; 3w for his Strength of 5 and 15w for a Rage of 5. With those rules, he might as well had bought a Strenght of 10 to begin with, instead of using them on a "not always active strength". Yea, it was the "1 for every panel", but still, it would be cheaper if he just had bought a strength of 10 to start with. So the price should be lowered. Also, how about the faster the rage goes up, the slower it goes down? Increase once; (Can only be calmed down if not being attacked, or the thing that activated the rage is gone/dead). Every 4 panels +1 cost levels; Can easily be calmed down by a teammate or a person the character trusts. Every 3 panels +2 cost levels; Can be calmed down by a teammate Every 2 panels +3 cost levels; Can only be calmed down by someone the character really likes and thrusts, and under calm situations. Every panel +4 cost levels; Can only be calmed down by someone the character loves.

Yeah that seems to fit, and it does work out cheaoer than buying strength at 10 HOWEVER what if you buy a strebgth of 10 and this at +5 with the every panel thats 30 stones for a strength of 15 which would cost 40 stones, then you do get a cost break, of course it costs most of your stones but if you lower the cost modifier by 1 that ends up only costing 27 stones an even bigger cost break, i think it may need some testing.

hmmm.... Yea it does... Its abit tricky... Either it becomes ridicules to choose the power (because the mentioned cost difference and all that), or either its so dam expensive, that you dont want it anyway...

Hm, would you say this could be applicable to other abilities? Really I'm just thinking along the lines of Speed and *maybe* Durability. Maybe one "Rage" mod that can have options to add Speed, Strength, and/or Durability. Kind of like an adrenaline rush.

Thanks for all the replies guys! ;D I'm digging the ideas - and yeah, I was thinking that it could apply to all the physical stats (i'm perplexed by how it would be beneficial to be very angry and be a positive factor for intelligence - after all, Hulk is dumb when he's "raging").
More than likely - it would cost more to affect durability.
