Is there a power for this already?

Does anybody know what power would be used to make a character like unto Metamorpho? "Transform Self By Touch" comes close, but what would the cost be to take out the need for "by touch" and to limit your possibilities to elements found in the human body?

By the same token, what about if you just want to be able to turn into any gas (neon, argon, chlorine, etc.) but no solids or liquids?

There isn't one that i know of, however i'd say its probably a +1 or +2 to remove the range touch (depending on how far you want the range to be say 2 or 3 respectively) so thats +5 or 10 stones, and then maybe a -1 (so -5 stones) for Only into Elements found in the human body (do you mean elements or just chemicals?)

For gasses i'd say its probably the same- a -1 (so -5 stones) but if it's at range as before, or maybe +4 or 5 for without needing the element (although that's really a mastery sort of option i guess). Of course there are problems with becoming a gas- can anyone say high winds and vaccuum cleaners?

I do mean elements not chemicals. Basically thinking of Metamorpho who could turn into any element in the human body but no others and no combinations thereof. Maybe they've changed this since I read his stories back in the good old days. And no range at all is what I'm going for--he didn't have to touch or be near the elements as they were in his own body already.

As far as the problems associated with being a gas, well, drawbacks are part of the fun for me. I've never liked the omnipotent characters (Superman, Thor, Silver Surfer, Green Lantern, Batman).

It’s essentially just Metamorphosis from the X-men Book with the obvious elemental limitation (-2 for only having gaseous alternate forms).

Transform Self by Touch with a slight discount because you can only drawl on internal elements is also certainly a viable option. I know there are a lot of posters around here that will disagree and say “Transform Self by Touch doesn’t work that way” ( Just look here) but, when you’re spending that much on a power, I think you really ought to do whatever you want with it as long as it isn’t REALLY out there.

Well, aside from the obvious (Transform Self* with a slight discount for being unable to do non-gasses), there’s the previously mentioned Metamorphosis possibility or a Mastery of Gasses (which is probably open-ended enough to warrant a +3 base cost) that includes transform into element.

*Be it Transform Self with unlimited forms (like a gaseous version of Apocalypse) or Transform Self by Touch (though that requires that the right gas be in the environment to begin with unless you want to increase the power’s scope to extreme range and that’s going to cost too much for it to be a practical method of making a forty stone character).

I’m thinking the cheapest way to do it is to spend ten white stones for unlimited alternate forms and then going on to create a lot of thirty stone gassy forms.
