Hey, I'm a starting GM for the game and I have a small question about range...I play D&D but of course, it does things by feet. Can anyone explain how range goes about? Thanks.

Well, just check the guide for the difficulty and resistance chart. Ofcourse if you're used to the metric system like me, you might not be able to make heads or tails of this so...
1 foot = roughly 30 cm 1 yard = 3 foot or roughly 90 cm 1 mile = roughly 1.6 km
Welcome to the boards.

See page 80 of the core rulebook for the D&R chart with ranges included. Ranged powers and weapons generally have their ranges listed in the power descriptions or the appendix. Any more distance between the attackers and the target and accuracy suffers (in the form of attack stones lost).
Note that range shouldn’t be confused with area (which can also be found on the table on page eighty). Area is more for things like determining things like what gets caught in an explosion.
