This is kind of an esoteric power, which I'm reasonably sure has yet to be used in comics, but I felt inspired. Opinions on the cost/power level are, as always, appreciated.
Absorb Matter
Cost = Action Level +6
Description:
By drawing on foreign non-living matter around you, you can increase your own size and density. You absorb matter up to your AN on the Area Chart into yourself. For each stone of area absorbed in such a way, you can do either two things: grow up to 20' and then 20' with each stone spent after that (with the standard improvements for Growth [+1/level Strength +1 for Level 1, +1 Durability/level,]) or to increase his heft and density increasing his weight by 1 on the D&R chart (with the standard improvements for increasing body density [+1 Strength and +1 Toughness.])
In order to maintain this form, you must spend 1 red stone/panel in maintanence that doesn't count towards your limit of 2 actions a panel.
(Without drawing on foreign matter, this action should cost +7. Being unable to improve with lines should be worth +4, as per usual.)
Comments:
Like an improvable Growth and Manipulate Body Density combined, but with the requirement of drawing on your environment to make it work. Handy if you want to use the environment to your advantage.
Rules for Action Box:
* Absorb stones of matter as per area on D&R chart.
* Use to either increase height or increase density, at a rate of 1 stone per.
* Growth: +1 Strength and +1 Durability (+1 Strength for first stone spent)
* Increase Density: +1 Str or +1 Toughness (player's choice)
* Affects non-living or inorganic matter only
Example:
Landfill has Absorb Matter at an AN of 4. He has Strength 3, Durability 3, and Toughness (+1) [no AP or 2x damage from firearms or projectiles,] and a Weight of 2 (around 200 pounds.) He is in the middle of a large construction site when battling some supervillains. He tries to absorb matter from a 50' area into himself, sucking up rocks, steel girders, concrete, glass, and some construction equipment into his very being. He spends 2 stones increasing his size to 40' (Increasing his Strength to 6 and his Durability to 5). He then increases his density 2 stones, to weigh about 2 tons (and increasing his Toughness to (+3).] Now he's ready to go battle the supervillain of the day.
