I'm having a difficult time discerning the differences that a Cyborg has from PA. I'd never looked at that part of the PA section and the wording is confusing. So, you pay for your own enhanced abilities as normal, but you get the actions that the PA gets at their discount prices as well as weapon systems?
Second Question, if anyone plays the Armored Core games they can help out better. How would one make a lazer sword whose blade can be thrown as a projectile?
Third, if you have Self contained life form on your PA character, does the armor need Life support? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't need to but just to make sure.

1) I think you basically make a PA character without the attached hero. Only pay for one set of Abilities, Actions are as though you're purchasing through PA, etc. It's really up to logic, though, and interaction with the GM. If the cyborg enhancements don't effect your Close Combat or your Agility, then don't pay the reduced rate for them. If they do, then go with the cheaper cost.
2) Take the price of a Mega Weapon and add the price of an energy weapon. Say you wanted that weapon at +4 for your PA. A +4 Mega Weapon costs 2w and a +4 Energy Weapon costs 1w. The total should cost about 3w. However, consider that, in that case, you would have to pay stones in energy to use the sword as a projectile. If you want it to be a modifier, I would say raise the CL by 3 to bring the price to 4w. In that case, the weapon would be a 6w weapon in total. As with the other question, this is really up to the GM. This is just how I see it.
3) Armor shouldn't need Life Support if your hero can sustain fine on his own. Thinking about it, the Life Support for a PA is priced as a reduced cost Self Contained Life Form, anyway.
