ozbot.typepad.com/spideyguide/We would like to officially announce the second Character Pak contest, which will run from December 20th till December 24th at 11:59. To make sure everyone understands how the contest works, here is a recap of the rules: The upcoming Character Pak will include 12 characters (Electro through Madame Web). During the contest, you will have a chance to guess at naming all 12 characters that will be included in the Pak (including the two which we just gave to you). The names are alphabetical. The one who comes the closest to naming all 12 characters will win the contest. In the case of ties, multiple prizes will be awarded. Now... what do you get for winning? The winner of each Character Pak contest will receive a free CD ROM with all of the available downloads, including 8 bonus characters (4 heroes and 4 villains... well actually 1 of them it just depends on what kind of mood he's in that particular day) that did not make the official cut. These CD's will be awarded upon completion of "Spider-Man's Guide to New York." The second character pak will be released on December 25th, and at that time the winner of the contest will be announced. Good Luck and Merry Christmas, - The Unofficial Spider-Man Roster Book Development Team ozbot.typepad.com/spideyguide/

Dude, remember the kind of people included in the first pak, right? so I think there might be a lot of marvel knights stuff in there too.
probably: Electro Gladiator Hammerhead Hood Hydro-Man Iron Fist Jackal Jester Josiah X Kraven Lizard Madame Web
If Cage was tehre, Iron Fist is probably there. Can't have Hobgoblin because he was in the Goblin Legacy thing. Can't be Hornet if Dusk isn't in there (it starts with Electro). And I guess we won't see Gibbon or Hypno-Hustler. ... those are my best guesses.

No, the Daredevil villain. I think that Daredevil will have his enemies represented too, this is why I put Gladiator and Jester as my choices.

I’m inclined to agree with out resident Kung Fu Master here; if the other release is any indication, this set is more likely to have Jester or Jigsaw than Judas Traveler or Hypno Hustler (and Hobby and Abe Jenkins already stat-ed*). I will say that I’m doubtful that the Hood and Justice (Josiah X) will be in this since neither character was very well known to begin with and – with Marvel ignoring the first and only passively acknowledging the existence of the second in Young Avengers – I can’t see that changing. Also if you’ll look at the other thread, one of the Unofficial Guide writers said Hannibal King wasn’t going to make the cut when I complained about Blade’s inclusion (though King would make more sense since he was actually based out of NYC for an extended time period whereas Blade was nomadic) *though Abe only has his Beetle Stats in the Avengers book, not Mach #I figure the Slingers will be in the GM section along with any members of the Sinister Six, Seven, and Twelve (hey, they have to stat Scorpia and Gog somewhere ), Sinister Syndicate (though, unless you count, Hardshell from LFoSM, the remaining unstated members are all big enough names to get their own bios), Outlaws, the Enforcers, and maybe even the Misfits (Hey, they already HAVE Toad’s stats) and/or Legion of Losers (aka Spider-Man Revenge Squad…what? I like the Spot ) that didn’t get a full bios elsewhere. My own guess on who’s going to be in this next one:
Electro Ezekiel Ghost Rider Hammerhead Hydroman Iron Fist Jackal Jones, Jessica (Jewel) Kaine Kraven Lizard Madame WebI was originally going to take omit GR since he really doesn’t fit the NYC theme (the open road is his home, darn it ) but I put him back for three reasons. The first is that I’m pretty sure he’s FROM NY even if he isn’t really based there. The second is that he kinda-sorta works with the Spidey theme on account of him being the Webhead’s only “New F4” teammate who doesn’t have game stats yet. The third is that this is as much a popularity contest as an official publication would have been and that means Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch will beat out other possibilities like the Headsman (too obscure…though he’d be great to have stats for…well, he did work with the Enforcers so there’s a chance), Jester (too obscure), Jigsaw (Sure, for this to be a real Guide to NYC you’d need to include some Punisher villains but this guy is WAY too generic…maybe the Russian instead [though he/she has about as much to do with NYC as Blade and Black Widow ]), and Gladiator (who just isn’t important enough for a full bio but probably still should be included the GM section with the other Emissaries of Evil just so the quota can be filled on DD baddies)
