Powers:
All of Iron Man's powers derive from his steel-alloy armor. The armor increases his Fighting, Agility, Strength, Endurance, and Health to the bracketed levels and has the following powers:
BODY ARMOR. The armor provides Amazing (50) protection from physical damage, as well as Unearthly (100) resistance to radiation and Remarkable resistance to heat, cold, and acid.
FLIGHT. The jets in Iron Man's boots enable him to fly at Monstrous speed (normal 9 areas per round/top 30 areas per round). They can inflict Incredible (40) slugfest damage to one target in the same area as Iron Man.
REPULSORS. Each gauntlet contains a plasma projector capable of causing Amazing (50) damage. A repulsor has a range of 10 areas. The repulsors may be fired at separate targets (requiring a yellow Agility FEAT roll to hit either target).
UNIBEAM. A high-intensity lamp mounted in the center of Iron Man's chest, the Unibeam can illuminate an area up to two areas away, or blind an unsuspecting opponent for 1 to 10 rounds (treat as Stun? result). If narrowed to a laser, the beam inflicts Incredible (40) damage at Good range (3 areas).
AIR SUPPLY. When sealed, the armor contains enough air for 2 hours underwater or in total vacuum.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER. The armor can fill an area with foam. This foam shifts damage from fire seven columns to the left.
ENERGY ABSORPTION. The armor can absorb up to an Unearthly (100) amount of electricity in one round, and channel it out through the repulsors, inflicting Monstrous (75) damage. The electrical blast has a range of 10 areas. The armor's storage pods can contain up to three rounds of Unearthly (100) absorption before exploding, causing Monstrous (75) damage. The armor can be modified to absorb other forms of energy.
OVERRIDE. Iron Man can remove the armor's safety interfaces to channel all his power into one round of Unearthly (100) Strength or Unearthly (100) repulsor damage. Following the round, make a Yellow FEAT roll on the Shift 0 column--failure means that the armor is immobilized by damage and must be repaired.
SENSORS. Rhodey's suit is equipped with radar, sonar, and heat detectors that allow him to locate invisible or camouflaged opponents up to 10 areas away. A nightvision lens allows Iron Man to see in normal darkness as if it was daytime, up to three areas away.
REVERSE MAGNETISM. Iron Man has Incredible control over magnetism, allowing him to alter or reverse the course of thrown metal objects (striking the caster on an agility FEAT roll).
ROLLER SKATES. Iron Man can reach Excellent speed (normal 5 areas per round/top 10 areas per round) using a set of skates nested within his boots.
EYE PROTECTION. The suit has polarized eye shields that provide Monstrous (75) protection against blinding attacks. The shields drop into place automatically, and result in one round of blindness from the sudden change.
Talents: He is a skilled military-trained pilot.
Background: The Iron Man armor was designed by inventor Tony Stark. James "Rhodey" Rhodes was given the suit when Stark lost his battle with alcoholism. At the time of the SECRET WARS, Rhodey is still learning to use the armor effectively. |
