Note: Andrew was posting for Iron Man, just as I was updating for Kang. He did not know I was updating that Kang was bringing up his force field, I didn't know he was about to try shooting at Kang before he raised his force field.
In this case, Iron Man and only Iron Man got his shot in BEFORE Kang could raise his force shield. And with a 90, that was a very good shot!
Iron Man also has another problem. He wanted to land on the platform at the end of his charge. Iron Man flew at a rate of 5 areas per turn to execute the charge, and therefore must succeed at an Excellent Intensity Agility FEAT to land (instead of fall). Iron Man's Agility is also Excellent, so he needs a Yellow result (71 or better). jAZA|GwJ1-100 Success! Rhodey landed on his two feet, like the expert pilot he is.1-100

"Might not know it yet, but by taking you out of the picture it'll be doin' everyone a favour, any last words punk?"
Raise his arm and take out claws, listen for any last words(OOC: or even someone to interrupt him, or attack him or stop him or whatever), then do it...

Life, Death, and Health: When a character reaches 0 Health, the player controlling that character makes an Ednurance FEAT roll on the kill column. If there is no effect, the character is merely stunned for 1-10 rounds (unconscious but not dead). If the result is an Endurance loss (and only a White result has this effect here), the character begins losing Endurance Ranks. A dying character loses one Endurance rank per turn. When he drops below Shift 0, he is dead. Shooting to Neutralize: A special form of bull's eye result. Make an agility FEAT as if for shooting. A Yellow result means the wespon has been shot from the hand without damaging the target. A Red result means that the weapon has been shot from the hand, and the target takes normal shooting damage. Sheilding: A hero may jump in front of another character who is about to be shot, either with a weapon or a power. On a successful Agility FEAT (Green result or higher), the hero becomes the target instead of the intended victim.
After twisting the second cannon into an inoperable state, Spider-Man hears Kang scream! Kang's Endurance FEAT to avoid being stunned by Iron Man's repulsor blast: Rjgp1aRk1-100Kang's armor provided him with Remarkable (30) protection from Iron Man's Amazing (50) attack, but he still loses 20 Health points and is stunned for one round. This also prevented him from activating his force field! Cyclops first had to succeed at an agility FEAT roll to interrupt Wolverine's attack (per Shielding rules). He's spending Karma. 1-100He needed a 41, so 14 of his 80 Karma was spent. Then he fired an Optic Blast to Neutralize Wolverine's attack, again spending Karma. 1-10010 more Karma brings Cyclops's total to roll to 79. Despite the "Ow, my arm!" comment, Wolverine suffers no damage, but neither does Thunderball. Cyclops is down to 56 Karma. Thanks to Cyclops's intervention, Thunderball still has 10 Health points left.
Piledriver sees that Thunderball is in trouble and takes advantage of Wolverine's situation to deliver some payback, Wrecking Crew style! 1-100Wolverine takes a fist to the face for 40 points of damage! Three areas away, Ultron now positions itself between Iron Man and Kang, before blasting the invincible hero with electricity! 1-100Fortunately, Iron Man's armor can absorb up to an Unearthly amount of electricity in one round. Magneto followed the most logical path towards his objective of escape, feeling around for some typ of electromagnetic disturbance or some other oddity he could use to his favor. The endeavor would be much easier if he had his loyal Brotherhood by his side...

The Human Torch
Johnny Storm takes aim at Piledriver and calls out "Hey, dunderhead! Hands off the grumpy weasel! Let's see how you like this!"
OOC It's been years (too many to count) since I last played/GM'd MSH but I *think* Body Armour is more effective against physical trauma and less so against energy attacks, to the tune of -2CS or something like that? That's a top of my head thing and would need to look it up. That said, I'm just along for the ride so whatever is ruled as 'this is what we're using' I'm more than fine with.
Johnny blasts at Piledriver*
ACTIONS
Again, flying in the air and blasting down from above, sheathed in fire and using UN100 flame to really (hopefully) knock the stuffing out of another Wrecking crew guy.
Here goes nothing (probably literally) EDGxtJ0z1d100 No karma use
*If someone takes Piledriver down first then someone else will get it - the guy with the helmet or Wrecker, maybe.

OOC Ah there we go:
HOWEVER, just to contradict myself the Ultimate Powers Book (considered the definitive power listing for the MSH game whilst it was still in print) lists a number of versions of what would be called Body Armour and none of them seem to reduce the damage that body armour reduces energy attacks by.
For instance:
and
And neither of those list the protective power (both forms of Body Armour) being less effective than Energy. So I'll shut up now and expect Human Torch to do 80 damage every blast against the Wrecking goons
As an aside I think the Ultimate powers book was one of the later books published for the line before it was cancelled. It's a shame it did not make it into a 3rd (or was it fourth counting the revised edition?) of the game instead of being what was considered an optional book. That said when I GM'd with it I was always flicking through the book to see what a power would do because there are so many variants of what would have been a single power in the core books.

Spider-Man didn't know much about any of these bad guys, but he did know that it was likely none of them were all that effective if they couldn't see. Since he didn't want to hit a woman, he targeted both web-shooters at Enchantress' face and fired, hoping to web up her eyes and keep her from being too much of a threat to anyone.
Hey, anybody seen Doc Ock? He's more my speed...

Plain of Worms.Towering above the terrifying terrain broods a fortress waiting to be claimed, by right of power-- --by the man called Magneto!
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles distant, the Human Torch fires fire at Piledriver. The Marvel RPG is inconsistent with how Body armor works, so it will work differently depending on the character. In Piledriver's case it reduces Johnny's Unearthly 100 attack to 80 points of Health damage. this reduced him to 0 Health and might cause him to start dying. 2DNZcbS_1-100It does not, but Piledriver is out for 1-10 rounds. Spider-Man shoots his webs at Enchantress, but does not web up her eyes. To answer his question concerning Doctor Octopus, the criminal Mastermind is four areas away, engaged in battle with other heroes. Colossus tears off a second leg from the toppled tripod platform (turning it into a unipod) and starts heading in Doctor Octopus's direction.
Kang, recovering from being stunned, mistakenly believes that Colossus is heading for him and fires at him. 1-100Colossus is hit for 50 points of damage! The concussive force may also slam the armored X-Man backwards! Colossus's Endurance FEAT roll: 1-100 Colossus is staggered, but suffers no extra ill effects from the slam. Now fearing for his own well being, Kang activates his force field. Enchantress, enraged by being webbed, uses Karma to free herself. 1-100 With her Amazing Strength, she has broken free of the Incredible webbing, but is down to 90 Karma. Thunderball dodges as he retrieves what is left of his smelted wrecking ball, now cool enough for him to touch. Dodge roll: 1-100 No effect, he's not much of a dodger. Shockwave: If a character has a Strength at least two ranks higher than the ground he's standing on, he can make a shockwave attack. Instead of attacking an opponent, the hero slams the ground, hard (this is a favorite tactic of the Hulk). The shockwave may be directed up to two areas away. Everyone within the attacker's area and the affected areas (human targets and buildings) suffer the effect of a charge, as if the hero was charging and using his Strength instead of Endurance to hit. Targets within these areas may be stunned or slammed according to the results of the charge, but only one dice roll is made.
Hulk's Unearthly Strength with a roll of 47 results in a possible slam for the following targets: Ultron, Enchantress, Kang, Spider-Man, Colossus and Iron Man. I'll allow Spider-Man's Spider-Sense to warn him first though: hq_lJ4Xv1-100 Spider-Man jumped up, just in time! The rest must roll Endurance FEATs for a possible slam. Ultron 1-100 goes flying and...disappears! Enchantress 1-100 keeps her godly balance. Kang 1-100 is knocked one area away. Falls on his butt but suffers no damage. Colossus 1-100 is knocked one area away. Falls on his butt but suffers no damage. Iron Man 1-100 is knocked one area away. Falls on his butt but suffers no damage. Colossus is the first to stand back up and he heads back toward Hulk. Meanwhile, Wolverine catches up to Thunderball and gives him a good right hook. Unfortunately for logan, not even his adamantium laced bones prove effective against Thundderball's dense flesh.
The battered remnants of the enemy force flees! Enchantress casts a magic shield and runs three areas to the north east. Kang picks himself up off the ground and still protected by his force filed, hurries after the Enchantress. Seeing Kang and Enchantress retreating, Thunderball decides to quickly leave Wolverine a parting gift before fleeing himself. 1-100 His swing misses by a longshot, but he still decides to run away to the northeast. Spider-Man was in no mood to give chase. He was certain they'd be seeing their playmates again, soon enough. I don't want to kick over the the proverbial hornet's nest... but what are we going to do guys? That guy said "slay", like kill, and I'm just a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The only thing I kill are the trees Jolly Jonah uses to print his flattering little articles about me.
He didn't look at Wolverine, but he was thinking about him. I'm not... I can't do that. I can't kill these guys. I couldn't kill them if my own life depended on it, and I'm sure not going to kill them because some couch potato from space needs another channel to watch.
